I’ve used it straight out of the bottle and it is pretty pure. I also bought a 4lb bag from a pyro store and idk if it’s pure but the BP is still fast

So you didn't have any wax in it? No oils binders, fillers, contaminates, or anti cakeing agents that needed removed?

Once I poured the fluid out, all those chemicals came out with it. There are some that remain behind. If you do the process again, you can get a pure potassium nitrate, but you lose some of potassium nitrate in the process.

@@黄蟮 yes smoke less gun power is easy to make because it uses acids to make it. I was using it for my rocket. The problem is that if you pack it to tight in the charge well, the well acts like a pipe bomb I lost 2 of my rockets because of that now I only use black powder and I haven’t had a problem.

Yes but it involves a little more steps to get the potassium nitrate. Get a bucket and poke little holes at the bottom. Put a cloth or a filter inside the bucket over the holes. Fill the bucket with your fertilizer. He up water the amount of water doesn’t matter. Place a bowl under the bucket. Pour the hot water in the bucket. After the water has gone through the fertilizer, it should fall into your bowl. Now put that bowl in the freezer and collect your potassium nitrates

Yes but your yield will depend on how much potassium nitrate is in the solution

You can Also get way more ceystals if you do the cooldown in the fridge in a Pyrex dish, or would probly work on ur baking sheet of you use a couple. May not even have to do the whole car thing not sure if it gets all with more surface area for enough crystals to form

crystallization does not equal Purification get an education .

True but when do the crystallization process the fluid that is left behind has the impurities. The more times you do the crystallization process the impurities come out. I did mention that in the video you can see brown fluid coming out when I did the crystallization. The more times I crystallized the less brown fluid I had. If you have a different way I can purify I’m all ears.

It's actually partially true because when the crystals form if they're not agitated they form very slowly and push the impurities to the margins and if undisturbed that makes it the margins of much larger crystals making it much easier to separate and we're specifically referring to non water-soluble impurities mostly. That is why the double solvent recrystallization process is such a good method for purification that it is used in many different capacities
