Morning, and it's impressive how quickly it takes them out. Hope to see a timed comparison with the 220 and 330 to remove a stump. In this case, I think size matters. If you get a thumb for it at some point it will be a tree removal machine. Thanks for a great video.

I ran a Volvo 330 excavator for quite a long time. Did land clearing and even dug that super hard blue shale with it. From what I can see… the Volvo 330 I ran was a LOT more powerful than the 330 he is running in this video. I was sorta shocked at how hard it struggled trying to pull stumps. I used the Volvo 330 to clear a lot of land for a large landfill and I got a lot of time pulling stumps in and it was rare to have the machine struggle at all to pull a stump. I did evergreens to hardwoods like red oaks and it did not struggle that hard. So I’m not sure what’s going on. Perhaps his machine is in super eco mode? 😂

With the stump pick being so narrow it could do with a thumb instead of just trying to balance bits of stumps on it . He might find it more beneficial at the end of this job🤔🤔. Good luck with the Hyundai Chris . Nice machine 👍🏻

The 220 is a good all around machine. The 330 is like America during WW2, mass production at it's finest. I've seen a couple jobs lately where Chris is stumping large areas, like this job. And also the pond in the valley, oh yeah 👍 that's where the 330 will shine. imo

The Yellow Jacket problem, I found that wearing white keeps them from seeing you and if you paint a black spot near the front of the machine the bees will attack it. You will need to put a white seat cover on your machine. The black spot can be held on with a magnet, if you don't want to paint. The idea is to reduce your IR signature.

I had to rent an excavator for the first time. Folks, it took HOURS before I could even make two motions move together smoothly, let alone what Chris is doing. That 330 is a beast on those stumps...however I can see you miss the thumb. On the 220 with the stumper on, you would use the thumb teeth as a rake to clear roots away and move soil back into the hole. I am wondering now how many months it will take to install a thumb. At times over at Geoff's place digging out the basement, I couldn't help noticing times the thumb could have come in handy.

I believe I may have said the same thing when you got the D6, but it may have been a man is only as good as his tools, as I tend to alternate those two phrases. If you spend more time ripping, less time digging, and get faster loads, the machine is paying for itself. Excellent decision!!!

And, the 330 proves it's a stump diggen' beast. The one he called a big stump looed like it 3 seperate trees sharing the same patch of ground and it just took them out like they were planted in butter. The 220 would have taken an hour of hard digging to get them out. According to some he's taken out in the past with it. Awesomely entertaining Saturday afternoon episode Chris, thanks. 🎉

As adults we need to look back when we were 10 or 11.Did we get the nurturing we needed if we did then we want our children to feel the same,if we did not have the love and safety a child should have then as parents we should want even more for them to have that security and knowing there is someone who can give that to them. We as a society have become so self centered and unconcerned for anyone else we are falling behind in a nurturing nation failing those who need love the most. No one has to agree with me, but one person at a time showing love as you did for three days Will be remembered by those boys.Thank you.
