This week, Coyote takes on the sting of the Australian Giant Stinging Tree, aka the Devil's Toilet Paper. Their leaves may look innocuous, but they're actually covered in near-microscopic stinging hairs that -- when brushed up against by an unlucky hiker, animal, or Coyote Peterson -- latch on to flesh and deliver serious stinging pain!
Coyote takes on the sting, then demonstrates how to use wax removal strips to remove the stinging hairs -- just in case you ever have an unlucky encounter with one of these intimidating plants.
Turns out, insects aren't the only stinging scaries... so it's time to put Australia's Giant Stinging Tree to the test!

I have actually read about the Nettle Plant, its sting is acidic. There is another plant known as the Dock Plant which grows right near the nettle plant, rubbing its leaf on the affected area provides relief.

I was 5 years old and ventured into the bush trying to retrieve my bow ,Reaching for it and getting stung by this plant/Tree . It still haunts me 40 years after. There is a bush remedy for nettle stings. You will find bracken growing everywhere nearby. Just grab some and rub it on where it stings. It works quite fast.
