QUESTION : Do you always have a camera with your just in case?

I used to carry a dedicated camera more often. It's actually one of the reasons I first got into micro four thirds with the tiny EPM-2. But around 8 or 9 years ago, with the Nexus 6p for me, I realized my phone was finally good enough for most of my spontaneous photos. Nowadays, it's mostly a mix, I don't use the camera maybe as much as I used to in non-photo specific outings. But the OM-5 and obviously EPM-2 are relatively small enough to keep around *just in case* 🙂

Always.... (Pentax K-3 mkIII + 16-50 PLM) even if I think it can be somewhat "heavy" sometimes...

I think that I'm kind of the same here. I use the phone around the house or when I'm put with the children. It's just easy and always there. I rarely print those images but the quality is good enough for a large photo frame at home that constantly changes images. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. Grt guido

Great photos. I think some KZbin photographers have forgotten the reasons why they take photos. The enjoyment the memories and the experience. I think far too many photographers are too caught up in buying gear and have sadly lost the plot. Lately all I see is many of my favorite photographers talking about their new Hasselblad X2D. Yeah the camera that no one can afford or will ever need for taking beautiful images. If that was what was required no one would take pictures of anything.

I totally understand what you are saying about the hasselblad. I watch those youtubers myself. In fact, they are one of the reasons I started. I watch them for inspiration and creative ideas, and personally, I don't really mind the camera they use. I think they won't seduce me to change brands very fast. I'm very happy with the results that I'm having at the moment. Someone once said a good photographer takes great binges with any camera so that is what I always keep in mind. I used to bring bring a small camera everywhere but since phone cameras got so good I stopped doing that. Usually it's for shot around the house of my kids only. Good idea to keep that small camera with you the best camera is the one that always with you! Thanks for watchibg grt guido

Tip: As accessoire voor mijn telefoon heb ik altijd een tripje en een polafilter die erop geklikt kan worden, dit werkt ook prima. 12 years ago I started doing an iPhone photo of the day on Facebook :) Now hand on heart I can’t say there has been a photo every single day as sometimes sadly life gets in the way and it’s not always possible But I’ve managed to keep it going in the main all those years Some days it’s not that exciting it might end up being what I’ve cooked, what’s in flower in the garden or I’ve always got our two dogs which people love to see :) But what I’ve love about it most is the memories of all I’ve done over those years and how fortunate I am and when I’m having a down day I must always remember that :) Your phone captured images perfectly for the memory if nothing else :)

I couldn't agree more with that. You must have a great collection of memory's there. My phone sometimes makes compilations by itself and then send them to me as memory's. I noticed that around the house indo everything on my phone. I rarely take images of my kids with the main camera. Even on days away from a zoo, for example, I don't take the camera. And that is a shame. I think it has to do with enjoyment. I enjoy my camera when I'm out on my own. But enjoy my phone when I'm with my kids. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.grt guido

Goed idee. Zal eens vragen of ik eentje kan lenen om te testen. Heb eerst nog de 8-25 op mijn lijstje staan 😅 maar de telefoon kan zeker mooienfotos maken. Vooral qua groothoek. Sometimes things will happen, like a fleeting sunset, or some wildlife will appear in your backyard. I've learned to not run and get my camera because by the time you return, it will be gone. I just enjoy it for as long as it lasts and hopefully remember it.

Haha, yeah, I couldn't dump the breakfast on the ground 😅 I use a Samsung s23 if I'm not mistaken. And then the smallest one in size. I was surprised by the results. Only when zooming can you really see the quality get very bad rapidly.

@lubos-ro3hy olympus made a adapter years ago that would fit a phone. So you could use big lenses on your phone. But there was nobody interested in that back then. Who knows in the future. I hope the colors will be there more in Belgium. The weather is looming great so hope it stays that way! Grt guido

Van harte gefeliciteerd met je trouwdag. Hopelijk heeft je familie niet al te lang hoeven wachten op het ontbijt dat in je plastic tas zat 😂. Geweldig dat je nu alleen maar foto’s met je telefoon hebt gemaakt. Zeker mooi, maar zondag gaan we het verschil aanschouwen met je volgende video. Ik moet je bekennen dat als mijn man en ik samen op pad zijn en ik maak foto’s met de camera en hij met zijn telefoon dat zijn foto’s toch wel heel fraai zijn. Dankjewel Olga, ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat de groothoek telefoon foto's me echt verbaasd hebben die zijn kwalitatatief echt heel goed. Als je echter een telefoto gaat maken en wilt zoomen dan word het echt snel dramatisch. Daar zie je in de video van zondag toch wel echt het kwaliteit verachil. Met een van minmjn favorjete foto's van dit jaar als gevolg. Bedabkt voor het kijken. Grt guido

Voor welke vestiging van cameranu heb je gekeken? Komende maanden sta ik in bijna alle vestigingen en in utrecht 2x. Volgende week en ergens in februari / maart. Niet slecht he? @theflyingdutchman7127 haha ik kwam laatst toevallig iemand tegen in de dierentuin. He jij bent toch van youtube? Uhh... bn'er zit ik niet op te wachten hoor. Hoge bomen vangen veel wind. Zonin de luwte mijn ding doen vind ik prima eigenlijk. Voornde 2de datum in utrecht is nog wel plek. Je zou overigens ook gewoon kunnen gaan. Mijn ervaring bij cameranu is dat nooit iedereen komt. En anders zijn. Er altijd wel plekken om te staan al s er geen stoelen zijn.

@@GuidoVanDeWater hoi Guido. Ik kijk of ik in de morgen ga of het toch waag. Ik sta op de reserve lijst. Ik heb nog met ze gebeld. Ze herkende me direct. Ben een graag geziene klant. Die soms hele lastige en moeilijke vragen kan stellen. Daar zijn niet altijd blij mee. Ze weten er dan geen antwoord op. Dat maak je bij cameraland uit Alkmaar niet mee. Ze hebben me altijd goed en deskundig antwoordt gegeven. Daar zit zeer veel vakkennis.
