Looking insane, I love the look of Cycra stadium style plates . The zip ties will wear away the fork anodizing very quickly. Maybe throw some 3M clear guard behind the zip ties before you ride it .

Good tip on the zip ties my dude! Thanks for that. It's actually a UFO plate, how they came back then 🙌🏼💨

Dang. Takes me back man, beautifully done! Trying to bring a 97 and 02 kx250 back to life after years of neglect from previous owners. Would love to make a pro circuit theme this clean. Superb job.

This video series was awesome and the bike is badass! I started my 01 build 2 years ago, budget was smoked weeks in, just patiently waiting on a pipe from P.C. and it's done I'd say you are between $8500/$9500 just based on some of my big ticket items. Motor -$1200 Wheels- $1000 Lectron- $500 Plastics& graphics- $450 Galfer brake kit & lines-$500 Rebuild kits shock, brakes & bearings- $600 Renthal- $300 Arc levers - $250 I haven't added up what was spent on OE parts but im sure it's up there. Also ordered some trick billet parts from the UK
@GregHitchko
@GregHitchko 7 ай бұрын
Heck yeah! Hopefully pro circuit produces that pipe for you soon. More to come out of this build series, I appreciate the kind words 🙏🏼. And it's seriously all of the OEM parts that puts you over the edge every time haha

Looks sweet, sounds great , a good runner for sure. Do those fork guards and the guides on the outer tubes really slide all the way through the full travel of the forks ? If not, just remove those guides. No modern bike has guides attached to the fork sliders. 😊

I recon there’s got to be at least 20k in that build maybe a little more tbh some of the era stuff on the bike is near on impossible to obtain with all parts being used up over the years so it’s cost is a premium to obtain it. Greg imagine you were paying your self minimum wage for all the research time, looking for parts plus the assembly/spanner time if you added that to the cost of the build the price of the build would get crazy
@GregHitchko
@GregHitchko 7 ай бұрын
Haha dude if only I was paying myself minimum wage for the research. It's time consuming but super fun at the same time. (My guess is really close to your number as well)....
@TH3_T3RM1N4T0R
@TH3_T3RM1N4T0R 2 ай бұрын
Hey Greg, looks like you've got about 8 to 10 grand into that KX in parts alone. I don't know what you paid for the bike, so add that too. My 99 KX250 is pretty decent, but it certainly shows it's age if you look closer. Still rips though... I honestly wouldn't mind to have some of the stock parts you took off, but shipping would likely be prohibitively expensive to my side of the globe. Anyway, awesome build, and very detailed walkthrough. Thanks for that, definitely will come in handy when I give mine a bit of TLC. Peace bro.

Thanks for the kind words my dude! Paid $5k for the bike itself, (covid pricing...makes me want to puke) but really happy with it. Shoot me an email about what oem parts you may want! I get discounted shipping so it won't actually be that bad on you.

I love them all. I'm dying to get a bike again. Unfortunately had to sell my 13 crf450r 6-7 years ago due to bills and money and being behind and i collapse to my knees as tears poured down my face as I watch my bike leave in the back of a truck pulling out of my driveway💔🥺😢 i still lose sleep over it to this day because there's nothing I love and want more in my life is another dirtbike. I eat,sleep, breath the sport of motocross and I want a 250 2 stroke so bad or a bike in general again. Trying to save enough to buy a brand new YZ 250 two stroke right off the show room floor. I dream about it all the time. I need to ride again. I miss it and I need it more than ever in my life right now. 🙌🏻🤘🏻🤙🏻💯❤️ 32:1 ✌🏻💨 keep me updated for the raffle prize with the total cost of your 99 split fire build🙌🏻😍🤘🏻 @Lebel412
