I wonder if there are any builders that puts the stove top on the kitchen island instead of against the wall like 99 percent of all homes out there, or is that something you can request from the builder if your purchasing a new home. I love your videos very informational about our future move.

Most builders can do the stove on the island, some builders don’t do to many customizations like strictly production builders tend to stick to their own designs. It depends on the platform they run on. Semi custom and custom builders definitely will entertain a request to put a cook top on and island with either a downdraft vent or a over the island vent. 😃❤️

As much as I would like to relocate to Las Cruces, it would be very difficult on my wife. She is very involved with the local quilting community, and has a studio (the bonus room over our garage) that encompasses almost 400sq ft. Finding a home at a reasonable price with that kind of room would probably not be easy, plus all the people she works with in the quilting community. Oh Well!!
