Just purchased this watch in the uk for £540.00 when it was originally priced at £799.00 everywhere which I thought was a bit too much but now I have it I must say it is a cracking watch (which means really good in the uk)

This watch is incredible. For months I’ve been holding back on this watch due to 2 factors. The price, I never saw myself spending more than $250 for a Seiko. This, however, is not your regular Seiko. If we have to compare it to cars, the skx007 is a Toyota Camry, but this is more a of Lexus IS 300. I paid $680. And I would gladly pay the retail of $1000. Second, the size, at 44mm, its way too big. I like stay at 41mm max. However, I don’t know what it is, the case or the lugs, but this watch fits like A 41mm. It fits also the exactly as my 41mm omega seamaster. If you have to have one Seiko, spend the extra for a classic like this one. It’s a beautifully, sexy watch. It oozes class. Just incredible. The breitling colt 41 is going for sale so that I can buy the black bracelet version and the PADI version. Great job Seiko

Wow now I'm in that scenario I owned few Swiss watches and now try to buy a seiko and this is the most attractive from the lot how is it holding up? Yeah and the thing im not sure if I should spend so much on a seiko as I can get Hamilton or Oris on this price hmmmm...

It’s holding up great, really accurate about 2 seconds per day. Oris and Hamilton are nice, I love Hamilton especially and they’re khaki field mechanical, I have the black and the white dials. This watch is very special, it has vintage look as it’s DNA is from a 60’s Seiko. If you’re doubting due to the price, this watch is really worth it. I have an Omega Seamaster ceramic, a Rolex explorer, a tag aquaracer, and longines watches and this watch stands toe to toe with Omega and Rolex quality, not exactly, but very very close. I love this watch so much that I’ve since bought the great blue hole version. It’s a stunner. Don’t hesitate, but it and when you see it in person you’ll thank yourself

Very very nice watch i like the clean look of the watch. that silicon strap looks very comfortable. 44mm is a little too big for my taste 40 or 42 mm would be a great size for this vintage inspired piece. Nice movement and saphire crystal make this watch a winner for me and something tells me that this watch wear not so big.

Decent review bro but always the same complaint for me four commercials in the first 5 minutes of the video bit much , I understand you got to get that money though ..I own the 053 on bracelet. For those who are saying that it's not worth it because of the sumo all I would say is two totally different animals till you hold it in the metal l would Reserve judgment this watch is beautiful👍 this whole line is beautiful

They are the exact same watch. The "name" spb079 is for the international markets and sbdc063 is the jdm name.

These are nice watches but honestly I can’t see spending the money for this when you can buy a Sumo and save $300 . To me the sapphire crystal and diashield don’t add up to $800 . The Sumo for price paid is a better watch 👍🏻
