An amazing day trip looking for some awesome snakes in Central Alabama. We have access to some great private property, and were able to turn up some awesome snakes! Due to the current situation more work and time is going into each video to ensure myself and those around me stay safe, but you can look forwards to continued uploads!

I live about a little over 200 miles east of you guys, and you should realize that one thing you need to most be careful about are ticks - especially in the spring, nymphs are exceptionally tiny - and they are all over weeds and grassy areas. I was bitten by one carrying Lyme Disease and was seriously sick for almost two years. Frightening thing is, I never even saw a bite, until I eventually found a dead tick exoskeleton under my armpit (weeks later) - as it would have originally been a tiny dot - which is why I didn't see it, as later it engorged and died. Had a fever for a year and a half of pure hell, and other serious symptoms for up to 5 years. Spray with PERMETHRIN (NOT deet - worthless on ticks!) and check yourselves frequently. Put your clothes in a hot dryer for 10 minutes once home. Yeah - I thought it was silly to worry about, too, as I had spent many years hiking and backpacking all manner of wilderness! It simply ain't worth it to disregard the risk! Love the adventures and critters you find - just be safe!

We recently moved to south east Alabama from Florida and I have saw two gray rat snakes and a large eastern king snake in my yard along with a rattlesnake about a mile from our house. We had plenty of them in Florida. Our pomeranian survived a dry bit from a diamondback last year.
