Firefighter/EMT here. The guy who saw it happen and got into his jeep did nothing wrong. As a first responder, we appreciate people who know what they are doing to render first aid. However, it's all too common that a call like this can end up with 20 people running inside who aren't trained to look for hazards like the possibility of a building collapse or a fire to break out. All im trying to say is that a serious event like this is best left to professionals or people that know what they are doing. If you think the guy who got in his jeep should have helped, then you yourself should take CPR, Stop the bleed, and other basic first aid classes yearly. The majority of serious injuries are made worse by bystanders trying to help who dont know what they are doing. Like removing someone out of their car without neck support when they have a brocken neck. That and the guy in the video did kind of almost die so getting in his vehicle and cooling off was probably the best thing for him at that time.
