If you do enough research on your sports heroes, you will often find they are disappointing people, often when relating to sex or family. You can bash Larry Bird for abandoning his daughter. You can criticize Julius Erving to allow his sons to wind up alcoholics and drug addicts. You can spend all day putting people in the dirt for their mistakes. But then you wouldn't have much of a Hall of Fame. If you want to evaporate Malone's basketball stats, then you might as well wipe out Stocktons since they were all associated with Karl. And I guess you take away two of Jordan's titles, because they happened against Karl....

One of my top ten favorite players growing up. There is really no logical reason why C-Webb isn't in the Hall of Fame. So what he lied about taking money. It isn't like it was a murder trial. Hopefully he finally gets in and him and Jalen Rose bury the hatchet. If Shaq and Kobe(RIP) can then those two should as well.

Even if the NCAA doesn't want to pay players directly, they should be able to profit from their own nam and likeness. To forbid them for m doing so is the real in america injustice. I applaud Webber for getting paid ASAP. Webber's merits as an individual player clearly merritt being in the HOF. And he'd be in there already if he spent his prime playing for better franchises than Washington and Sacramento. Sacramento got robbed in the 2002 playoffs. They outplayed the Lakers. And as a young basketball fan, that was the first series in which I recognized an officiating bias against the less popular team.

Webber was probably the only 6’10 power forward that had finesse. He was a silky smooth player that made it look easy. I don’t think the scandal of his youth is the only reason he’s not in the HOF. He had good seasons in the NBA but nothing that really stood out like the winning the scoring title, MVP, leading the league in FG % or leading his team to a championship. Just being an all star isn’t good enough to get into the HOF. Damn I miss the NBA from the 90’s.

Great video. The college players are offered a 4 year full ride. People always either ignore that or minimize it. If a player with a full ride blows out his knee on the first play in freshman year and career is over- they still get the full scholarship.

It's the basketball HOF. It's crazy that he isn't in it..Webber was ahead of the game..his ability at the 4, man, outside of injuries is up there with the elite..His commentary is trash though.. even without college his HS accomplishments, NBA accomplishments are enough.. the Timeout was crazy, but he traveled 1st. Always wondered how him and shaq would've worked together, their skill sets matched..

Bro he and Shaq together! Unfair. Yea you're right. Webber was ahead of his time. He'd be a superstar today. He gotta get in eventually man. I can't vision a HOF without him in it. At least 1 fab 5 guy
