having 2 stunt people where 1 of them was doing the stunt on screen was very cool. Gui was able to ask much more detailed questions on how things were done and Aaron had all the answers, it was almost like a guessing game for Gui and that was fun to watch. Having 2 stunt people for the other clips wasn't that different then having 1.

Yeah, but they believe Kevin Dux. The dude makes up a good story, but it’s no longer the early ‘90’s on a schoolyard. So much of what he has said has contradicted itself and nothing has any proof. With so many true heroes that struggle in normal society, for him to lie and improve his status, it sours anything he says or accomplished.

The reason JCVD's character wears a belt AND a sash in that scene is because the belt is his - his symbol of rank in his art - and the sash is for the tournament. It tells the ref which corner he belongs in when. Most tournaments and combat sports do that - from TKD to No-GI grappling to pro boxing/mma (color of gloves or tape on the gloves usually corresponds to the corner).

Dual whips from Underworld, Antonio Banderas as Zorro, Swenson in The Rundown, Jason Scott Lee with the blade whip in Dracula 2 Ascension etc. Anthony De Longis is getting up there in age but this dude helped choreograph and train actors with whips, swords and knives from some of the biggest movies including Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman. Ultimate irony of JCVD who is a real badass pretending to be a guy that pretended to be a real badass. At least we got the most memorable tournament fight movie of the decade out of it.

No safety wires, no nothing. Just all him It was so cool to watch the behind the scenes. I always love that most stuntmen are also inheriting and implementing FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) into movies, as Aaron Toney did speak about Kali, also known as Arnis and Escrima, the iconic Filipino martial arts that’s legendary and used by select few Filipinos back in 1600s when the Spaniards banned us from having swords, but that did not stop us from having to use sticks, because it retains the same principles as the swords.
