Half these issues coulda been solved if you'd just ride a 4 stroke. I understand wanting the whole motocross experience but there ain't nothing wrong with riding a (quiet) trail bike. No one knows you're there! I drive through subdivisions and private property all day long, and they're completely oblivious unless I roll up on them or them see me. The only times I ever got hassled by civilians and police was whenever I was riding with people who had two strokes! Complaint was always (wanna guess?) Noise! Which led to them getting pissed about ruts, legality, wildlife, other vehicles, etc etc, which snowballed into arguments and then police. Trust me folks, my honda crf230 may not be the whole motocross extreme experience, but I'm not racing at tracks anyways, and at least I still have fun and I don't eat shit for it.

I think most people would get mad if someone was riding a super noisy motorbike in their backyard. Just imagine it happening to you. Dirt bikes are fun but even I detest the sound. It's akin to a giant mosquito drone. I don't have a problem with someone asking the owners if it's okay to ride through their property. Just assuming it's cool is not okay. Back in the early 2000's my friends and I would actually ask permission to ride on someone's property, if we knew who owned it, if we could not contact the person, we either stayed on the beaten path, or didn't ride there at all. Power line trails excluded because I pay my taxes, and my power bill. Kids are being raised with 0 respect for other people, or their property.
