Caleb, I am a tax accountant and I love your show. You deal with so many things I try to help clients with!! As a note, 1099 NEC’s are not a legal way to pay employees and a large portion of this countries small businesses are either mistakenly paying their employees this wage or are lazy and don’t want to pay the extra money needed to legally pay the correct wage. Paying this type of “wage” to an employee turns them into a small business owner and subjugates them to self employment taxes that they should not be paying. This is a large problem that I believe the majority of this country is unaware of. Thankfully this individual seems as if he works for MULTIPLE institutions which makes this a reasonable way to pay him. Nonetheless I’m always on the lookout to identify this difference for clients.

Disgusting. No parent should let their student athletes anywhere near that facility. Wrestled for 8 years and not once did I catch anything... We bleached the mats before and after, showered, and used a foaming protective barrier product that you could apply to your entire body every single day. He is definitely the smelly dude you would hate to get paired up with at a tournament.

Some jobs definitely feel like they drain your soul from your body. Exhausted every day, and too tired to do anything on your days off. We’ve all jobs like that. That’s what inspired me to start my own business. I work more now than I ever have, but I love it.

Same! I used to work in an automotive parts factory and with the 40h week, I was so drained that I was just working or sleeping. Now I work for myself and now I do more mild physical activity - getting healthier as I do.

I had some empathy and compassion for this child until he said he didn't want to work more than 15 hours a week. I worked 50+ hours per week at his age and lived like a miser. My fun consisted of free events and going out to eat/party was reserved for my birthday and around /christmas. But my car was paid for, I had a few dollars in the bank, and no debt.

About where I wanna be. Maybe have a few dollars to take a girl on a date (walk in the park kinda thing but gas money to pick her up, maybe enough for ice cream after or something) and get her little gifts once in a while. Like the time for my ex I bought two uno decks and made a custom card for each of us. Beyond that as long as I'm not in debt, I have $50-100 to add to savings every month and I can afford beans and rice, we're good.
