Probably the best performance I’ve ever seen on SNL. I could watch this everyday and not get tired of it. Every musician performing here is the real deal talent, and Sturgill only takes them to another level. Simply amazing.

That band was feeling good you could tell man. They were rocking, things were clicking and shit was rocking you can't mistake that feeling. I've never seen sturgill let loose like that, and I know his guitar wasn't even coming through on the mic. I think he might of been coked up. Sometimes it works as a performance enhancer if you are a bit reserved. That band let it all bleed out that was lovely. Can't give enough credit to the band tbh, the drummer, bass, the sax and trumpet as well as all the horns. Piano man, thats what happens when solid creativity meets professional players with the right energy going.
