This dude has balls! As a Christian, I do not like using that, and probably should not have, especially depending upon what fundamentally it could mean or could come across to someone as meaning. For that, forgive me. However, where his music is concerned, it's almost a parodied, but truthful tradition and translation of country music, in which A LOT of folks have been missing for quite some time now! It's definitely a breath of fresh air, and I am absolutely and thankful for both his chutzpah and his conviction! This, alone, is what country music has been missing for the better part of 20 to 25 years by now! It's not wasn't just about tradition, although I think that this aspect is a close second, but the song gets a bit of pure and traditional COUNTRY AND WESTERN music, and perhaps the singer-songwriter back into the picture! I adore that! This dude is great! If a person doesn't write their own songs, then I instantly lose ALL interest! By the way, people are all the time asking me why I would care who writes their stuff, so long as you (I) like the song, and while a good song is a good song, I want to know the individual singing it is its creator...and besides, the folks who inquire this are those who have NEVER had the gift, the craft, or the capacity to construct a single line at any point in their lives, and simply don't get it! And I'm not at all trying to be unkind...just saying...and observing! Truth is ALWAYS worth surveying! Peace,in Christ Jesus, eternally!!!

I won't be around this old town anymore for a long long time Gonna hit the road and start looking for the end of that long white line I woke up my baby was gone without her I don't need no home Gonna hit the road and start looking for the end of that long white line Gonna hit the road and start looking for the end of that long white line Went to the bank to get my dough I don't care where I go Gonna' push this rig 'til I push that girl out of my mind If somebody wants to know what's become of this so and so Tell em' I'm somewhere looking for the end of that long white line Tell em' I'm somewhere looking for the end of that long white line New York City, Old St. Joe, Albuquerque New Mexico This old rig is humming and rolling, she's doing fine If somebody wants to know what's become of this so and so Tell em' I'm somewhere looking for the end of that long white line Tell em' I'm somewhere looking for the end of that long white line New York City, Old St. Joe, Albuquerque New Mexico This old rig is humming and rolling, she's doing fine If somebody wants to know what's become of this so and so Tell em' I'm somewhere looking for the end of that long white line Tell em' I'm somewhere looking for the end of that long white line I won't be around this old town anymore for a long long time Gonna hit the road and start looking for the end of that long white line Gonna hit the road and start looking for the end of that long white line

Sturgill simpson is a stud no doubt. Yall look at paul cauthen "cocaine country dancing" and then "holy ghost fire" live performance. Theyre worth the watch. Hes a stud as well.

I can’t help but to think this song is not only about heartbreak but about using drugs to deal with it. This song is very good. sturgill is new to me but hits so much different than other artists I really appriciate his music

Waylon crossed with Merle, then the real Sturgil magic makes that sublime combo even better somehow. When i first heard him several years ago ('15 maybe?) I didn't really get it, thought he was VERY overrated. I wasn't entirely wrong - but it was the kind of overrated, and the kind of folks driving it. In most ways he's incredibly underrated. I "got" it a bit in a couple different ways (there's a LOT to this guy and his talents) before i saw him, but damn, live was a game changer. Saw him open for Panic 2 nights in a row at Trondosa. I really need to see him again very soon. And i wish my boys would find a way to fire Trodosa up again. Went both years, was one of my favorite festies ever, and I've seen a BUNCH over the years. Gave me a better appreciation of Sturgil and turned me on to Margo Price too, was just an awesome time... Damn powdered jaw grease 😂
