A bit of fun the play. Can remember some of them , but not others. They all seem so dated today and so stereotyped, but yes that is the way we where. Thanks for posting...

Thanks for the memories. They don’t make them like that anymore. We move into the future. TV goes backwards.

Not only did I grow up in NZ but dad didn't buy a telly until 1977 - he didn't like them, I ditched mine years ago now as well - the only games shows I remember as a teen was Generation Game with Bruce Forsythe which the whole family could and did enjoy. I saw 3 2 1 and Bullseye when I visited my grandparents in Suffolk in '83 (loved the show, best game show next to generation game in my opinion as it was genuine fun) and I remember Blockbuster from years ago now when I moved to Ireland. However I did grow up listening to shows like My Music, Just a Minute and the like on the wireless and personally I think they were and still are far more enjoyable than their TV equivalents (3 2 1 and Generation Game excluded, definitely great fun) Enjoyable quiz as I've heard of many of the shows over the years even if I haven't seen them.

The 70's and 80's ones were instantly recognisable. No so the older ones. The names of which I'm kind of familiar with but never watched as editions of quiz shows were never repeated, so if you weren't around at the time, you never got to see them. Mind own fault for not being born yet! 🤣

Nice to have a quiz based on a British subject, but I never got into game shows (too much homework) so I managed to get exactly two of these. Looking forward to your next subject that might give me a fighting chance! 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧

22/25. The ones that eluded me were the Angela Rippon one (which I took as Busman's Holiday), the Double your Money one (which I took as a very early version of Opportunity Knocks) and the Lennie Bennett one, which I just couldn't remember the name of.

The quiz shows from the 60’s to the 70’s to the 80’s evolved and became more sophisticated. By the 80’s and ‘thatcherism’ people were more sophisticated, they travelled more. The format of the shows became more ‘pizazz’ I think by the mid 90’s TV was starting to change and for me not for the better.
