Lars Kiel, aka "Sidewall Jedi" takes us through the weaved inside stringing tutorial. This version on stringing shrinks the surface area that a ball has to move within the pocket, allowing for more control when passing, catching and cradling.

I tried this method on a Warrior Evo 5, hoping to make a tight, low attack pocket. I modified Lars' pattern up high by skipping a few holes as I went in order to stretch the mesh tighter until I got lower, where I began the singles. Ultimately this method gave me more than I bargained for - ball wouldn't release from the pocket. I unstrung halfway, tied off to keep my tight upper sidewalls, then completed the bottom half with a looser, modified weave. Looks and feels great now - but on-field testing still to come soon :) Thanks, Lars, for the great tutorial.

This has do be the best pocket I've ever strung. My brother had a Gait torque, the one with the double plastic sidewall toward the top of the head. It was always a struggle to string, always came out looking wonky, and the sidewall wholes are like a 1/4" wide and like 3/8" long. Its a bad design strung wise but this sidewall pattern did not disappoint, thanks Lars. I haven't played since high school, about 2012. Just getting back into it, may join a local league sometime soon. Always liked stringing, even though I did not know what I was doing. Does the nylon kill anbody else's hands?

When using every hole like this how do you keep the mesh from " bunching" where you don't want it to and vice versa?

Is he going back through the same hole he already strung through? With some heads I think that’ll create too much of a bag. Might have to do some skips, no?
