Sorry, Fatima, I'm a boereworsmeisie. 🤣 Great idea that Shelly introduced the stywe pap to an international audience. Futher north, pap and marog or imfino (all sorts of leafy greens/weeds) is a favourite dish, yes. Where I grew up in northern KwaZulu-Natal we sat around the black pot on the fire, took some stywe pap in our hands, rolled it into balls, then dipped the balls in the cooked imfino mixture. Oh my word, fond memories. I've tried spinach, aikôna, doesn't taste the same. There are so many gardening projects that grow imfino to feed rural communities. Thank you for creating awareness once again. And remember, the skoko, the hard part of the stywe pap that is left at the bottom of the pot! Tastes heavenly spread with butter and Bovril! 👏👏👏 So, in the next video please show people how to make krummelpap/crumbly porridge/putu. Love it with milk and sugar, or with butter and Bovril. 🤭😋😘

Omg I have been craving pap and beef sausages,and chakalaka so much, I miss good old SA food,I'm in the UK now and all they eat is pork sausage,and have no idea about pap, I am now going to watch your videos,and cry😭

I'm in the uk too and paap is not known here you're right. In Zimbabwe 🇿🇼it's called saadza and as mum comes from there we make and eat it. As for sausages I miss the Zim ones! Nothing like Southern African sausages!
