I have a routine also. The steps do not bother me. I get compliments on my skin all the time. There are products needed as you age but each her own. At 57, I barely have any wrinkles especially under and around my eyes. I have been using eye cream and really (lanolin oil) for years. I have a daytime and night time routine. Multivitamin, exercise, fruits, vegetables, and water is a must.

Her skin is lovely and I'm glad she found a routine that works for her but I'd never have the patience for all those steps. I've seen a few derms say that if you are getting dirt off with your toner, you need a better cleanser or to cleanse a little longer. Also, I've seen some skin care folks suggest decanting your hydrating toner into a spray bottle and just ditching the cotton pad. And at least a couple of derms do suggest those clean skin club towels and at least one suggests just using a new/clean towel daily to pat your skin and some brands even have the days of the week printed on the towel so you can't get yourself in trouble. Good point about ingredients/climate (how many of us have seen people having fits behind HA not agreeing with their skin in drier climates).

I can attest to some of the things she uses in her routine. I use unrefined coconut oil it gives me that natural glow and really soft skin. I use a brush that has different heads, and it was a game changer for me cause I bought it in China and you know Chinese women don’t play with their beauty 😂I’ve been using it for 2 years now (just change brushes just like you do your toothbrush). I only use natural products on my skin and that helped with my acne prone skin. Use a rose water as a spray after washing face. I also use hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and retinol by the ordinary at night. My face oil that I’ve been using for 2 years now is pure organic shea butter from Ghana and works perfect on my lips too after my lip scrub. Still haven’t found the perfect vitamin c and sunscreen for me. Thanx for this

I have a straightforward routine which seems to be working pretty well for me. AM 1. CeraVe cream to foam cleanser 2. Vanicream vitamin C serum. Has 5% Tetrahexadecyl ascorbate 3. Cerave Moisturizer (the tub) 4. Beauty of Joseon sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++ 5. A wide brimmed hat with UPF 50 when out in the Sun 6. Sun protective clothing with UPF 50 when out in the Sun PM: 1. Garnier micellar water 2. CeraVe cream to foam cleanser 3. Stratia c+c serum. Has 10% l-ascorbic acid, 5% Tetrahexadecyl ascorbate, 0.5% Q10 4. Stratia soft touch AHA serum. Has 10% mandelic acid (I use it once a week) 5. Cerave Moisturizer I also had excellent success using Geek and Gorgeous A game serum. It has Retinaldehyde. One of the gentlest forms of Retinol I have ever used. But it is better at collagen production than hyperpigmentation. Very good for maintenance once the hyperpigmentation is cleared.

@sweetange75532 жыл бұрын
@B Coral: You don't use AHAs every day, you can introduce retinol on the days you don't use them. If it's the first time with retinol, start with a lower % and upgrade slowly. Hope you are not over exfoliating your skin with AHAs. Retinol too when introduced in a skincare routine is not used every single day. Use like twice a week and see how your skin reacts.

it's the same steps I talk about it in every hyperpigmentation video I do, but for that specific area, look into what may be causing it: is it from using tissues to blow your nose that are too rough for your skin, is it from drinking something that's irritating your skin, etc. Try to find the trigger otherwise you'll always be in a cycle of getting the discoloration and fading it.

I just wanted to share how I made a dramatic difference in my Melasma. I was prescribed by my dermatologist Tri -Luma to use 12 weeks instead of eight weeks because my melasma was that severe. Tri-Luma® Cream is a unique triple- combination topical therapy for the short-term (8-week ) treatment of the dark spots associated with moderate-to-severe facial melasma. Fluocinolone acetonide 0.01% is a mild corticosteroid that reduces inflammation. Due to 4 % hydroquinone in the cream I must take a break for four months before using the 4% Hydroquinone again.

I also have a facial brush by Vanity Planet that comes with a daily, exfoliating, silicone (for sensitive skin) and body brush. If I use the brush daily, my skin does a lot better using the silicone brush. I use micellar cleansing water to take off my makeup after using a couple of wipes. I wash my face with my hands first with water and the cleanser, rinse, then use the brush with the facial cleanser. I use a toner and don't always use a serum because most mornings I run late, so I don't have much time, or at night if I want to hurry up and go to bed. I always moisturize and use sunscreen in the mornings, even if I'm not leaving the house during the day.
