Viewers, listen, head to a dermatologist if you have severe acne. Do not follow EVERYTHING in this video. Tretinoin and many acids do not blend. Also, a holistic approach always works: proper food, 7+ hours of sleep, clean sheets and pillows, prescribed products [dermatologist]. Side bar: Believe it or not, if your skin is not too too oily, just warm water w/out cleanser, your moisturizer, and a mineral sunscreen [like Olay] may be performed to lessen aggravation. Again, see the doc about using Benzoyl Peroxide after the moisturizer. Protection of the skin barrier is extremely important for success. Thank you Style Dr.❤

Sooo true! Everyone always talks about this long drawn out routine and I’m just like…the less I put on my skin the less irritable it gets. If I wash my face for more than like 60 seconds, I’m guaranteed to break out no matter what product it is. Some people just have it easier than others. And most “natural products make my skin look worse. It’s frustrating having sensitive skin. And believe it or not when I don’t moisturize my skin it looks better and doesn’t break out as much. I’ve been doing trial and error for 16 years and most of what people preach is exactly what I can’t do. Ive spent thousands among thousands on skincare products, dermatology appointments, better food habits and the only thing I’m sure about is the less I do the better my results.

Just a gentle reminder that sometimes vloggers use filters and blurring on their cameras. This particular youtuber is known to use one, so her skin transformation may have had some digital help. Please seek out a dermatologist if you are having issues so they can properly diagnose your skin and provide appropriate treatment. Estheticians deal with the cosmetics/look of the skin, they can be helpful for the health of skin, but certain skin issues are out of their realm of practice.

I'm glad she was able to find something to work for her skin. The Budget Dermatologist has recommended the clean skin club towels as well as the ones by Shiseido. I've seen some derms who recommend the 60 second rule and some who say that's bs and you don't need to cleanse that long. A lot of them also don't like clarisonic brushes but are okay with silicone ones like Foreo or PMD if you're a person who likes to be a little more enthusiastic when washing your face. Derms in addition to BP washes also like SA washes like those from CeraVe, Cetaphil or Peach Slices.

I work in a dermatologist's office and for moderate to severe acne or cystic acne the benzoyl peroxide in higher percentages are usually more effective. I have very sensitive skin and my dermatologist (that I work for) has me on a high percentage benzoyl P acne wash for body, then benzoyl and clindamycin combo medication for face AND Rx strength Retin-A. My skin has significantly improved! Although, the original video's routine may not work for everyone, maybe exclude some steps and adjust it to meet your specific needs because her routine has some beneficial products included in it. I do not use a cleansing brush, neither do I dry my skin. I just pat my eyelash area dry with a clean white, cotton towel, then allow my face to air dry until damp and then begin application of any products. I do not rub any products into my skin, Just apply a thin layer gently with fingertips and let it absorb naturally. I also use 5% Mandelic acid toner (I have to use a cotton pad because of it's liquid consistency), 20% Vitamin C serum, green tea moisturizer, and daily sunscreen. Using an exfoliating toner has really stepped my game up, though, I cannot even lie! Both are videos informative and highly enjoyable to watch!

Hey there. This was a good video with some very important lessons, something I wished I discovered a long time ago. Not all skin care products will work the same way for everyone. Pay attention to your skins likes and dislikes, and higher percentages doesn't mean it's going to work better. I was happy that this routine worked for this young lady, but I found simplifying my routines is working better for me and although I have extremely oily skin using a moisturizer and sunscreens it truly important. I am no expert AT ALL, but what she said was acne looked more like irritation, which can mimic acne. I’m wondering if her overuse of exfoliants led to the breakout/irritation 🤔 mix that with hormones during your cycle and it’s a recipe for disaster. I know she went to pros, but were they properly diagnosing her skin or assuming it was acne like she told them. My skin would’ve jump off my face, slapped me with it and went and rehomed itself.

Also that Rose Galore facial oil is literally just a blend of mainly olive oil and a few other oils with some dried rose petals, so yes it was out of order in the routine.

@@nu5822 no, she's directly promoting the individual products, NOT the entire routine at all. There's a difference. To go out and buy every single 1 of those products and follow her routine to a T is idiotic because she isn't a professional who has examined YOUR skin. But she's explaining the individual products. If u see a product that resonates with an actual issue you've been struggling with it might be worth it to go TRY 1 of the products she says works well for that particular issue. But to throw all of these products on your face without discussing it with a professional would be less than smart and she says that ALL the time. She also shows get visits and conversations with her professional dermatologist on her channel all the time as well. So no. The term influencer does not make them healthcare professionals, they're just people who literally video tape and share details of their own personal life. That's it. If u don't have common sense not to follow behind them that's not their fault.

@@tasha9650 benzoyl peroxide is a treatment. So it’s good when you have acne but once you clear your skin it’s no longer necessary, bc it’s purpose is to dry out excess sebum (oil.) Castile soap can be used for the same reason but it’s a harsh, detergent-like soap. But if you like it I love it. Whatever works for you. Benzoyl peroxide is definitely not great for dry skin in my experience. It also made the hyperpigmentation worse and gave my skin this weird dark shadow skin tone. It was also so irritating and my poor skin over my eyelids omg smh left my skin dry and burnt never again.

Firstly, keeping my hands OUT my face was critical. Secondly I guess I have skin of steel like Kirah also because to clear my hyperpigmentation etc I exfoliate with a cleanser and toner 2x a day, a weekly exfoliating mask and a monthly exfoliating mask. I’ve found if I dont exfoliate the hell out of myself (whole body), my skin looks a mess. Steaming makes me so dry so I can only do that once a month. I also keep my linen clean but I have to avoid benzoyl’s, wipes and things with retinol.

I usually watch those type of videos for entertainment cause the person seems to always use multiple exfoliants in 1 routine but states they have sensitive skin. I think to myself how is your skin not on fire or raw from all that exfoliation. Wait a minute now...I wonder what does sensitive skin means to her cause she used 4+ actives in this routine and it's a daytime routine. I assumed it was her nighttime one. Well bravo to her for finding something that works for her.

I tried that exact -minus the oil because it’s gone from the face of the earth instead I used guerlian abeille royale advanced youth watery oil (don’t waste your money I got had) - routine last year and let me tell you 1: It’s expensive, hunny those chemical peels and retinol will hurt ya pockets😢 I spent almost $700 (I found out after the peels are ALOT less expensive on Amazon. Stay AWAY from Sephora) 2: Her skin is NOT sensitive. Because I definitely don’t have particularly sensitive skin and I got a chemical/abrasion burn on my cheeks. 3: My skin purged like nobody’s business for like 4 days straight. I don’t really have acne breakouts, just texture and the occasional white heads. But baby after 2 weeks I was looking like a whole glazed doughnut. It works I just had to tweak some stuff. 1: I gave up the daily peels for a slightly stronger weekly peel. The Ordinary aha 30 bha 2. 2: In the morning I use the panoxyl, but in the evening -and especially if I wore makeup that day- I just use the Dr Bronners baby unscented pure castile soap. 3: I don’t do all those step in the morning anymore. I just wash, tone, moisturize, and sunscreen. One had to give and I figured I’d rather get on with my day and worry about soaking up ingredients at night/over night. And last I always change my pillow cases twice a week anyway. So overall I still be looking like a glazed doughnut😅

Harm as in chemical burns, permanent scars, pain, dark marks etc. Again, common sense isn't common smh. I personally don't go by stick with your race skin care rules. I had clear skin, never broke out all my life and didn't wear makeup until 29 when I had to get on dialysis because my skin broke out horribly with cystic acne. They do not know what caused the kidney failure ( I don't have high blood pressure, diabetes, lupus, heart issues, normal cholesterol as I am young so they called it a mystery diagnosis}. Once I had to do dialysis my skin of 29 years that was clear and even became flaky dry and oily and dark spots appeared everywhere. I went to TWO black dermatologist women, one Black American and one African ( my mom is black, my father is Nigerian). The Black doctor literally seen me and talked to me for 5 minutes. I had a bag of old products I used and sense this was my first time dealing with acne I wanted to talk about skincare regimes and other things but she wasn't having that. She had her medical assistant come in and give me prescriptions of creams where one was $1000 so it was a empty visit because I couldn't afford them. I went to the African doctor and again she met me for 5 minutes and wrote a prescription for doxycycline and told me to use Cetaphil. The Doxycycline was the best part of the visit because it really cleared my skin clear up , but never helped my dark spots. I tried calling her for months to try to talk about other things but she never called back or nurses aide couldn't help either and this was prior to Covid. I now see a doctor who is Caucasian, older male doctor who takes the time to listen, added advice and tips and now my skin is doing great. I am off of dialysis now Praise God so my skin has normalized but I still have dark spots but none of the horrific breakouts. All I'm saying is open your eyes and don't be limited.
