I have such mad respect for your ability to pull such disparate items together into a cohesive vibe that mixes and matches history and fantasy inspiration into something that's fun and wearable. I did my bachelor's thesis on noble women and their military leadership in the 12th century and while they did seem to wear the same tunics and maille shirts for battlefields and sieges as the guys, medieval people loved color and whimsy and costumes even more than we moderns, you can't go wrong with vibes and inspiration. If you've never made a tunic or surcote, they're very easy and could be a fun additional overshirt or coat layer and can be endlessly customized with embroidery. But all your looks in this video are already fantastic.

Have you ever read The Song of the Lioness books? Its about a young girl named Alanna disguising herself as a boy to become a knight. Its one of my favourite book series. Its in that knightcore aesthetic for sure!

Bathe, shave, and pray. Beautifying rituals really didn't change much, huh. I appreciate your research into less obvious parts of knighthood: having an elaborate daily routine while at court, abiding by a certain code of honor, overall living an intricate, elevated life. Interesting things to reflect on while crafting an aesthetic.

They’re from Walmart but also available online! Search “LED flame bulb” and you should find a few options! The good ones tend to be bigger than normal bulbs so they don’t fit all lamps
