I so feel this. My hair was down to my butt and I went in to get two inches off and she cut like a foot off because she thought it would "look better". Clearly I never went back and I've been so nervous about it happening again I haven't gotten a haircut in about a year in a half.

Okay, this will most likely be a really long comment. Bare with me. I've recently shaved my head, to regrow all my hair in a healthy way. But your hair is my hair goals, and since I started cosmetology school, I've found a way to achieve this in a really healthy way. Anyway just letting you know that no matter what length your hair will always be goals.

I remember when I first did a big cut for my hair. It was 10 inches so I could donate it. My hair is curly so it bounced up to just resting on my shoulders. It was a shock for sure! I ended up really liking it though. My hair is a HUGE bitch to deal with, and having it that short was actually nice, haha. I've been donating ever since. Just did my third one not too long ago. :) I'm sure you'll get used to it soon, and even if you don't like it, it'll grow back :D

Your hair looks so much healthier now! I just did the EXACT same hair cut a month ago (going from hip-length hair to about yours), so I totally understand the struggle of not knowing how to style it anymore. I also only do overnight styles, and I used to do sock curls on the ends of my hair for a beachy look, but it looks kinda silly on my shorter hair. I've found that doing french rope braids overnight gives a cool mermaid look. I'm totally going to try this look out! It looks so nice on you.

Ugh, Ang, your hair is SO GORGEOUS. Like super bubble gum princess fantasy. I wish I could have hair like yours. Mine is super curly and frizzy and impossible to deal with except for right after washing (and then it takes like five hours to dry...)... You're seriously hair goals.

I have ALWAYS been jealous of your hair. I've been trying for YEARS to get mine as long as yours was and never seem to be able to do it, but seeing how beautiful it looks when it's shorter makes me really excited about what I can do with my own hair, even if it's not as Rapunzel as I want.You seem to have been blessed with really strong, healthy hair since you can grow it so long and still have it so luxurious, so at least you know you can always just grow it back out again it will still look fabulous every step of the way!

I have bone-straight hair that *never* keeps any shape I do to it... but wet-setting pincurls, using the method in your tutorial and a couple tips from some other videos, absolutely creates curls/waves in my hair! Maybe not ringlets or as strong a curl/wave as seen here, and it takes a ton of practice, but it works. My coloured hair takes much better to it than my natural hair, but still. Anyway, I love your new haircut, it looks so good & I can't wait to see what you'll do with it next! :3

Omg the hair grief I completely understand. I went from your length to a bob last summer and in the beginning I was happy with it and now I'm in the process of growing it out because I got so sick of how limited my style choices are for my hair. Looks great! Very Lauren Bacall. You'll probably find victory rolls and other vintage styles to be a lot easier with the new length. I wish I could do pincurls. My hair is a bit shorter than your length now, but it's so thick that my hair is still wet in the morning and if I put them in smaller curls, it takes several hours to do my whole head. And they're still wet in the morning.

This is so tempting! I have long, fine hair, and I have a loooot of it (recently cut to your new length as well). I'm sorry you're still grieving..8" IS a lot of hair. That took courage! I have many ??'s about your wet set. How do you keep the curls from going flat while sleeping? Do you wrap your hair at night? Satin or silk pillow case? I'm looking for alternatives to heat myself, but have issues w sleeping in curlers and pins 😕
@DownfallxInsides8 жыл бұрын
Hey! How have you kept your hair so healthy while dyeing it for 10 years? It looks amazing! I suppose a lot has to do with just how your hair is, since I don't use any heat or styling products on my hair and use a ton of products meant to keep it healthy and it still gets split ends often. I'd love to bleach it and dye it a light color but it'll probably end it disaster and damage it greatly. I've always wanted long hair, but I just can't seem to grow it, but you have such wonderful long hair and it was even longer still. A few years ago I just dyed it red and kept at it for a year or two and I think that did quite a number on it in the end. So do you have any tips for proper care even with dying and perhaps bleaching? I'm sorry, I don't know if you bleach your hair to get that light pink color, but I would assume so. Also sorry for the long comment. Have a great week! ^^

;-; I need to re purchase curlers and get those back into my life. It used to be the *only* way my hair would curl and when I was able to use heat I think I got rid of the last few I had but that was so long ago and now that my hair is starting to get healthier again its back to it's stubborn ways. Moral of my story: Don't be dumb, keep the curlers, curl your hair like this and not use heat.
