Thank you, brilliant tutorial, I appreciate you taking the time to share. I had a 'black background' on my finished item and I am using a PNG file, but I found the solution. You must make sure you are using Classic 3D settings in ALL compositions, I was originally using Cinema 4D! This applies to The Master Logo layers AND the Logo layer as described the video

How do I go about raising each individual section? I want some levels raised higher than others.

Isolate the sections you want to extrude at differents heights as individual masters. Just realise that it’s not a real 3d extrusion, it’s cheating a 2d image into 3d.

This is good way but Element 3d make it more easier to do.
