Do you know the new color space workflow in Maya? Im so confused how ACES works and Arnold. Exporting textures from Painter never gives the same result as rendering with iRay. No longer set things to raw and it just works.

I don't render in Maya so I don't really know much about the workflows for rendering there. I did find this video which may be useful and related to your question kzbin.info/www/bejne/fICnh6uOhK6lrK8

Thank you again for your timelapse^^ I currently learn for making materials because by default they aren't many materials in Substance Painter. It is difficult to understand and to know how I can chose the right node for the good render in Substance Designer. I still need some tutorials to make materials. Some materials are difficult to create without any help. For example which noise and gradient or shape etc I have to chose to get this render. Nethertheless, I notice all materials have some regular nodes. I just have to find the right noise, the right gradient etc to have the render I want but it is long and difficult^^

Yes, it takes time to figure out which nodes do what and when to use them, but the more materials you make the easier it will become to know what nodes to use. A lot of times it's also trial and error.

Do you use a reference or just come up with the material

Most of the time references are used, but the final.material is not a 1 to 1 with the reference
