It took me until age 46 to admit that I was an atheist. (I was raised Jewish, and for a long while it felt as if saying "Come on, there's no God. You think millions of innocent children would be dying in horrible pain RIGHT NOW, if some "God" could stop it?" was betraying all my cousins and co-religionists who died for their faith.) That said, I think this song is the closest I'll ever come to a religious experience. "A gathering of angels appeared above my head They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said" Bless you, Dennis.

Funny how music takes you on some amazing rides. As I started, I was with many of you going back to high school. Smiling. Then bam. This was my brother's favorite band. We would argue about it. He loved this type of music. Me more of the southern rock and heavier sounds. Smiling ear to ear. Great times! Man I need to send this reaction to Bert I begin to tell myself. Sorrow yet still smiling a bit, memory of extreme physical pain, shaking like a leaf, crying, as I am going thru colo-rectal cancer treatment when I get the csll. No this can't be, I was just talking to him the other day. Begging my wife to tell me it's not true. Alas, God had decided that Bert was needed in heaven. Seven years ago a couple of days before Memorial Day my older and only brother was called to Heaven. Thank you for these memories. The great, the good, the sad. I'm such an old school person who grew up way back from the early 60s and graduated in 1981. I graduated in East Los Angeles area. I ended up moving to Southern Oregon for 17 years. I finally saw Styx in concert up in Portland back in 2003. They were awesome in concert after years later that I remember growing up with this music. Thank Jamel for putting out good music.

Styx has a pretty wide selection of sounds in their catalog. "Snowblind" is a pretty awesome song and "Crystal Ball" is hard to beat.

Thank you Alan! I was just going to post that Snowblind is my favorite song of theirs as well.

Most of the bands I like best are the ones that had multiple songwriters and multiple lead vocalists in the band. I think that always contributed to having a wide variety of sounds and seemed to make most of those bands less one-dimensional and more rounded. Bands like Styx, Eagles, Beatles, Queen, Supertramp, KISS, The Band, Chicago.
