Su-25 Rook Ground Pounding in Sim

I like that you're trying new things like the takeoff from the replay camera, def makes the vids feel better I wanted to ask, do you think grinding out the Su-17M4 and Su-25T is worth it? I've got the MiG-27K spaded already and I don't really think they offer anything new or better but idk I haven't played either but I've unlocked the 17M4 (just havent purchased it or played it)

I say grind them if you play GRB, because they have an independant SP cost from the MiG27s so you can spawn in another plane if you want to/can

So, I took out the A-10A after the new update. Mavericks seem to be bugged. Was going after a convoy in sim and targeted a vehicle. It targeted the ground instead, so I tried to deselect the lock. Pressed B (my bind for air to ground lock). It unlocked for a millisecond, then immediately locked again. It did this several times in a row. Tried to deactivate target point to no avail. My only fix was switching weapons. Mavericks were working fine a few hours before the update. I know you do videos of various air to ground bugs. Immediately thought of you. This might be one you could look into.

Yeah man, lock weapon air to ground button is bugged, the lock stuck for TV guided missiles and bombs. Already reported it twice in CCs discord, in dev and live servers.

hunter - please, can you share the graphics setting ? because somehow you have all other terrain features turned off, so you can actually see from far away, that any black dot is an enemy tank. Thanks!

I don't have terrains features turned OFF, maybe only in this battle I was testing decreasing tree range and see how it affects the scene. Usually I have everything on the highest levels, DLSS OFF, SSAA OFF.

Hi Hunter, I have been watching your simulator videos recently and been wondering how do you manage to be able to look around freely and still be able to be precise with the targeting system, assuming you are using a HOTAS setup with a Track IR, which is my case. Also, do you have any suggestions about HOTAS configuration profile for sim ? I want to do a lot more sim but I am struggling with my keybindings :( Keep up the good content man ! You are truely talented

Thanks a lot my friend, I use keyboard and mouse, relative control mode. So I aim with TGPs with mouse.

Wondering why your rocket strafing runs had to be so close? What results did you get when you tried firing unguided rockets from around 1,000 m - 800 metres in the Su-25?

Su-25 my beloved, literally unplayable in rb because of 11.0 (br that stinks, i hate it so much), so, if you want su-25 not for ground battles cas but for arb - forget it, sim is the only way, and i play it

Hey Hunter. Quick question. How is your plane flying still and hold AoA while you are in that targeting pod? I have issue my plane still going down or up and im loosing site of target. And it seems i cant bind that targeting pod to any axis so i could use it on my stick. Now i need to reach for my mouse and obvously thanks to that i loose control of my plane.

Hello my friend, I can think of these reasons, - Sight Stab button for the sight - Throttle management for the plane (Not always at 100%) - No SAS damping for the pitch on this plane so you need (Trim management)

Hey Hunter. Do you know why you can't use KH29Ls from 13km? I know you can launch at 10 km and then guide it to 13 but why is it not possible to launch at 13km?

Probably the missile's seeker isn't sensitive enough to see the laser from that distance

Hello, I think they forgot to increase the actual range, they just wrote 13km in stats card. I remember I reported it in CCs discord but no fix yet I guess.

@@goliath3413 then it's probably a bug or they just limit your launch so it's the same as in real life. I guess they mixed limitations from real life with war thunder simplifications. It could probably be fired from 13km in real life and start guiding after 3km but war thunder limits the launch to the seeker "capabilities" yet their mechanics suck anyway and the missile probably has infinite laser detection range. That is my guess there is no source

How is your plane so stable? With sas damping on when I try to use missles like these my plane is always pulling up or down constantly so it’s hard to do

There is no easy way for it with Su-25, SAS damping on this plane is only for Yaw channel, not for Pitch channel and not for Roll channel. So trimming and throttle management is the way to go.
