“Low budget” where I come from does not cover access to or the use of expensive machinery - live the design and the workmanship though

For me it's kind of low budget, because at your club I can use our whole workshop (CNC included) for just 20€ a year. Besides this I completely understand what you mean. For my first F3P biplane project (kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3WynoRsaseLptU) I did cut out all the pieces by hand. So it's completely possible without CNC

I’m looking for a motor, servos and radio set or spektrum receiver to start building ultra slow planes like this, any suggestions? Previously I’d just strip micro helicopters for the electronics but a receiver compatible with a spektrum dx6i would be convenient, I’ve got an as3x all in one with a 28mm edf and I’m building a gear reduction to use that motor on a slow pitch prop but it’s still heavy for indoor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

@tobi-style5 жыл бұрын
Untill now, I didn't thought about making it FPV, but it would be possible. The structure of my plane could handle the 9g pretty easy on the right spots, like on the nose between the propellers

@@tobi-style I build fpv micro quadcopters for a while now and in my field of the hobby it became common to install fpv (tiny 600tvl analogue camera + video transmitter all in 9g runs from 3v-5v on 25mW output) on almost anything moves. I have fpv on my RC car, on a monster truck, on my daughter's RC crawler etc. The range you flying is covered without a problem. The only real investment is a decent analogue fpv goggle (Fatshark; Orqa; SkyZone). Right now the digital HD FPV in this size and weight is not yet ready only from 40g+. Once you transmitting a video signal anyone in that sport arena who turns on a goggle can see and follow what you see in your goggles live without delay! Immersive. I hope you will give it a try but one suggestion: try first in a large environment even if you flying awesome and confident LOS, flying FPV will take a few runs to get used to I am 100% sure but I also pretty confident it will blow your mind too!
