This video is a life saver! I just got mine and the documentation is non existent as stated. Didn’t know how to change the channels so I was getting poor performance/choppy video. All good now. What you get for the dollar is pretty great on these.

Very detailed review. Been waiting for some kind of info on this especially since I have a zcam camera. However, it’s unfortunate that the ipman s cannot connect to the already existing wireless video transmitter built onto the camera, which is a big missed opportunity. So I guess it’s back to looking at the Accsoon cine eye pro for my choice.

I understand that you said streaming is not good. How about just using it for live switching? Connected to an external encoder like an atem mini pro with a hdmi adapter.

The delay would be hard to handle if you are mixing multiple sources together

@@DasArmageddonTV I wouldn’t use it to sync things up. I would use it as a video source. I was asking about the switching ability of the wireless unit. Using four wireless units sent to a receiver that is connected to an encoder from its hdmi.

Sounds like the image quality is something to be concerned about. I notice it reads the incoming video streams as 2Mbps in your shot of the Live app, I wonder if there is a way to increase the bitrate the unit is transmitting? 2Mbps does seem very low for a 1080p stream and would explain the heavy artifacting and loss of detail on the sample shot of the tree leaves.

So to use a single IPMAN for streaming, I connect the IPMAN via HDMI to my camera, switch it to TX mode, connect it to a wireless network (e.g. my phone's hotspot) through the ZCam app, connect my laptop to the same wireless hotpot, then use the SSP plugin to pull the live video feed from the camera into OBS, correct?

How reliable are these. I tried the cineeye and it worked the first day but just randomly stopped working the 2nd day. I heard similar stories about the Hollyland. That is not at all acceptable on a shoot. Do these guys just work?

I just got my set of ipmans in and it wont accept video signals set to 23.98fps. Only 24-60fps

@@oblitafier Nobody is lazy here, I checked and discovered that in the specifications the company had deliberately with held the obvious spec that would have influenced a buying decision. They are a late player in this field and have something to hide. I will carry on enjoying my 4K systems, as 99% in this price range are 1080 and 15fps, and low bit rates.. So my advice is avoid this product, as if you do not know what is under the bonnet, the engine may be nothing more than an elastic band LOL ( analogy - for the uneducated ) Of course there will be some sucker who will buy regardless LOL. So don't ridicule folk who have an expert reason for checking , raising a question and asking. You obviously haven't a clue yourself as my best guess LOL
