Awesome building skills and you pointed out your mistakes where added weigh could have been eliminated. Thanks for the video and I'm in for the scrubber and tablet.

It's a science and art getting the weight down on these lol I'm glad the motor pads on the 5in1 are easier to solder too. I feel like this board is going to sell really well. Good stuff!!

you can chop off middle battery tray, and you can glue flight controller and toss rubber grommet and screw. and make a large hole in the midle of foam below
@AlbertKimTV4 ай бұрын
I like these suggestions. Will have to try on the next build.
@galardo33033 ай бұрын
@@AlbertKimTVi wouldnt toss the grommets. Even with the e6000 and other rubbery glues u would almost hard mount your flight controller. I would glue on the grommets if u can find some with a really tight groove so u dont need the screw to sandwich it. 4 little pieces of foam and conformal coat or the flywoo spray to protect the flightcontroller.

Interesting build and project Albert. I would be satisfied with that build for sure, but could be quite the rabbit hole. 4in1 vs 5in1 was an interesting find.

I think I saw someone chopped down the Air65 frame to 2.2g on a Facebook group. Didn't look like much was left. Great video, thanks and please enter me for the tablet and scrubber.

I actually saw one at 1.9g but it looked like a whoop with anorexia. Not sure something like that can stay in one piece in a crash.

Good job! I also focus mostly on light and efficient tinywhoop builds, getting inspiraition from videos on youtube like yours, Mr. Shutterbug and some streams of CiottyFPV. My current lightest build at 15.0g has the following setup: - DiamondF4 ELRS with removed usb connector (-0.25g) - Meteor65 Air frame, no mods - Reny screws (12 in total) - 0702 motors with 2 blade Gemfan (1210) props - TX06 cam (at 1.77g + wiring and JST connector heavier than the Runcams i've tried. I don't like the FOV on the Runcams) secured with doublesided tape between the front hoops - flightcontroller only secured by the rubber grommets, no screws - PH2.0 battery connector I also get around 4:40 minute flighttime with 250mAh rated previous generation lipos with wired connector. When flying the current is around 2.8A. With lighter 180mAh lipo the current gets around 2.6A and 2+ minute flight is possible, but the battery is then stressed more. For my build I could theoretically use a lighter camera and do some mods to the frame. That would shave 0.75g from the current 15g. For your lightest build i'd look into: -2 blade props - PH2.0 - non pushing setup where the flightcontroller just sits in the frame

If you use the happymodel elrs receiver instead of the betafpv one, thats another .1g off. Id just break ofd the tower antenna right away and replace with a piece of wire. Using magnet wire for the receiver and cam works great too to save weight. Its okay for motors too but does to rip off more often than silicon wire.
@frankcastillo88694 ай бұрын
I don't think there is much more you can do to optimize it. Sure, someone will complain it doesn't fly for 10 minutes or it weighs over 10g but those people are just ignorant and don't know what they are smoking! I'm in for the scrubber and tablet.

Regarding the wires from the camera to the FC, do they need to be that gauge, or can they be smaller? How much current flowing through to that camera?
@AlbertKimTV4 ай бұрын
They can be smaller for sure.

My receiver wires disconnected on a light crash on my Air65. I just bought this 5-in-1 and I'm going to swap it out.
@AlbertKimTV4 ай бұрын
Disconnected like in desoldered? On the receiver side or FC side?
@midnitejesus4 ай бұрын
@@AlbertKimTV 3 wires broke off the solder point in a crash on the receiver side. I had crashed it a few times that day but nothing egregious. Their design is pretty fragile (and flawed) IMO. 5-in-1 will be much more durable I would imagine.

The power wire to my elrs reciever came off my air75,i also wasn't very impressed with the vtx,the video signal seems weak compared to my other whoops and so had to turn up the mw,also i was getting bleeps from my rapidfire like it was trying to retune and the image kept going strange top of screen

Thank you for sharing! I got 2 questions: - how do you keep in place that piece of foam under the board? Do you Glue it to the board!? And is it safe or in a crash you risk to damage the FC? - i had a very bad experience with the 75 cockroach, it was great till the first crash and every single crash after that one cause the plastic was incredibly fragile and broke every single time i did hit something. Mine was transparent blue, maybe the non transparent version is different?
@AlbertKimTV4 ай бұрын
This is a completely different frame. I've crashed it many times with no damage. Probably because it's so light. The FC on the bottom is more protected because you crash into things going forward so it's more exposed that way. The foam protects the main components and is held in place with some VHB though I think I should use welders glue to save more weight.

@@AlbertKimTV in addition I notice when I put it in m75pro with 1102 motor with 20 awg wire for battery it will make a noise because the battery wire is positioned near the gyro and with thicker wire the vibration will travel easily this was my observation I am not pro at this so can you clarify if it is posible beta fpv like to position their gyro on delicate spot 😀
