The pen drawing is so well done- it really shows your style! I think people would even buy stationery items with your illustrations on it. The art academy was a good investment of your time, because we as viewers can see so much progress so quickly. I think I am also inspired by pretty things. I tend not to buy any objects (that are not food) unless I really like it. I try to apply the William Morris quote: "If you want a golden rule that will fit everything, this is it: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." So then I feel comforted or inspired by the things around me. Sometimes ideas will just float into my head, and sometimes something else will spark progress or a twist on an idea I have seen. I have little notebooks to quickly write them down so I don't forget. Right now I feel excited and inspired by new stationery items that are on the way to me. I bought things on Aliexpress during the 11/11 sale! I always wanted wood stamps when I was a child, but my mum said they were too expensive, messy and she couldn't be convinced I had a good reason to have them. I even ended up not buying wood stamps when I saw them as an adult and they had become extremely cheap(for a short while). Now, no one sells them in my city anymore. But I looked on Aliexpress, thought about it carefully and chose stamps I would love to continue using for a very long time, especially for art journaling. I chose quite a few things that I had taken time to think about and I feel will inspire me, because I decided the purpose of art journaling for me will be to inspire myself. I felt burnt out for a long time because of life troubles, and I couldn't be creative and complete an idea. That is a big problem because it has to do with my career! But now I'm art journaling to heal that process in me. I don't want to only write, because I worry I will get trapped in writing sad anxious things. So your example of art journaling really has been helping me. Thank you💕

I've been loving these washi tapes videos since the day I saw them and would check if there were washi tapes in my area but I haven't come across them yet.
