It more so seems to be right when Subaru finds some sort of closure or make some sort of emotional break through do RBD saves If yours was the case, then he should have resetted much farther when RBD because of Elsa but he only resetted at the time he completed the trial Also since RBD is inspired by video games, I would assume that it follows some rules of those saves as well (as in after a huge battle that took so long fo prepare, you would save as to not lose your progress) So no everyone SHOULD be fine when he dies

Subaru actually really impressed me this time. It hasn't been since the 4th time with Petelgeuse that I think he planned his moves this much in advance, albeit with some misteps due to his impulsive nature. As soon as everyone was dying he rationalized that he had to redo and tried to obtain as much information as he could get from Elsa. Really good which shows his resolve but his state of mind is always a worry as dying is never easy.

I think it's easy to determine Elsa's client. Let's go over the facts and go from there. 1) The client knows that there are two maids and a shut-in (Petra, Frederica and Beatrice) at the mansion before Subaru and Ram arrive. This should immediately warn you because as far as I'm aware, not a lot of people know about Beatrice. 2) She said that she had to get into action sooner than planned because Subaru arrived earlier than anticipated. This could mean one of two things. 1: She was staking out the domain while preparing and noticed Subaru earlier than expected and got into action, OR 2: someone messaged her that Subaru left Sanctuary earlier than expected along with Ram. If we take the second option and put this info together, there's only *one* character we are familiar with that knows all of these things. *It's Roswaal isn't it*

The main reason why Subaru wanted to go into the room where Rem slept in is that he thought he couldn't save everyone in this round but he could die before rem was killed by Elsa. In this way, he could ensure the save point will be at the time before he died instead of the time after Rem died. Therefore, he won't lose Rem again.

Roswaal makes that Emilia is not told anything so she is easier to control and right now she feels that it is her duty to free Sanctuary. If Subaru does relieve her from her duty then she would be even more hurt and lost. It is a difficult decision for Subaru because he saw Emilia fail time and time again and he is desperate to save Rem and the others from Elsa. If you ask me the whole s1 and s2 so far it is Roswaal who is the main force working behind the scenes.

Well Rosswal has his suspicions considering he caught Subaru's slip of "this time" but due to RBD's ability that conversation is most likely about to be voided as Subaru is no doubt going to die next episode to retry this again. I get that Subaru didn't present the information about the trials properly to Emilia and the gang, but cut this man some slack. So far, he has so many factors he needs to handle. On one side, there are three gruesome trials they have to face in some way, and the person who is supposed to do them can't pass the first, and is getting constantly hurt in trying. There is a hostage situation which he needs to solve, there is an apparent faction willing to hurt Emilia to stop the barrier from being opened, an attack on the mansion which at the time of this episode, he didn't know any details about, and to top all of that off, both Roswaal seem like a ticking time bombs which could add way more problems to the already abundant amount. I don't know about you guys, but I feel like Roswaal is about to make a move, like he is planning something, and that something, if it's going to reflect his previous actions, is not going to be good. Subaru has so many factors which he needs to take control of to ensure no one dies, so stop bullying my boi for not being at the top of his game when it comes to Emilia. He has his hands full, and he is trying his best. This situation is simply that bad.

This episode hurt I say this is among his worse revives. I really dont trust Roswaal cause beside Garfiled he is the only one that knows that Subaru is leaving for the mansion and with Elsa not expecting him til 2 days later she attacked early. I should have know Petra was dead I was too optimistic. Patrasche is best pet at a last ditch effort to save Subaru. Well Beatrice came late as expected someone needs to break that library oath she have. Your forgetting something very. very, very important here. Subaru has and is doing whatever he thinks is best for Emilia. Most of his mistakes are 100% not his fault; We are given multiple points of view and background info he does not have. He has died over and over and over and over again for people who will never understand what he's done for them despite their lies and mistrust. Part of what I find fascinating about RE:Zero is that it shows how damaging mistrust and lack of communication can be. Emilia's reaction wasn't about his lack of trust in her but her lack of trust in him. She quite literally decided what he "really meant" and ignored his attempt to explain. Subaru is constantly taking responsibility and dying for other's failings.

I think another important factor in the Sanctuary denizens not being that connected with Subaru is that he actually spent much less time in Sanctuary when compared to the last timeline. Emilia has not attempted the trial the second time, so she is not as much in pain. Garfiel also still believes in Emilia's resolve since she has only failed once.

The thing that annoys me the most has to be the fact that Suburu doesn't try to tell everyone. "Hey we have a problem when we get to the mansion theirs a master assassin lady who will be there, and she will kill everyone their. Unless we find a way to stop it." While you could argue it wouldn't work. They would argue about how he knew this. But honestly some of them should just trust him at this point, and it would still be good to see him try it. Yet he doesn't which infuriates me.

Btw here's a look back on season one since Elsa's in the picture now. On the loot house scenes, her client also described multiple conditions/scenarios on how she'll act. The battle with Rienhard, how did she exactly survived the magical sword strike? Some food for thought. The bigger question last episode Garfield described the first trial in detail on the carriage ride with Subaru. How did he knew exactly what was the trial all about??? No way Emelia told anyone (she didn't even tell Subaru about it) nor did Subaru either since on the last loop he hid that he faced the trial and passed. On this episode Garfield was shocked and got antagonized when Subaru revealed that he knew what the trial is and passed. So knowledge of details about the trial is not out there, or it's not supposed to be. So again how did Garfield knew?? Odd, isn't it??

I saw a different reason for Subaru's cold reaction. Think of PMM, or Higurashi (SPOILER for both shows) In each show, one character relives the same horrible events over and over again hoping to find a way to stop them from happening. It was unlikely that Subaru would solve the conspiracy and find a way to stop it in just one time travel. He probably knew that he would die a whole bunch of times before this happens. That's not the state of mind where you care about hurt feelings...

Send mail while you're rushing to the mansion or don't they still have the communications mirrors that could save plenty time. I would be asking rosewall to teach me magic to get stronger learn sword skills from masters who are allies . I'd handle meeting echidna way more betterd cause if I'm stuck in a magical world it should be obvious that echidna brought me here I'd find out why. I love this anime cause this feels like a real world and when Subaru doesn't get it right you feel so angered by his lack using the power properly. Then I realized Subaru is only a teenager and when I was his age I did stupid stuff and I feel like if he spends years doing this he'll eventually catch on. Keep up the good work my dude.

Dark Subaru IF Pride route discussion here: Since Crushe was a big part of Felixes life, Felix went mentally insane when Crushe was eaten by the white whale that caused a lot of gaps in memory that had something to do with Crushe. If that’s how it is, why isn’t Ram going insane, isn’t Rem a big big part of her life? Didn’t she try to kill Subaru over REM’s death in a failed route? Would Ram go insane if Roswol were to get eaten by the white whale or have his existence stripped from the minds of all by the Gluttony bishop?

Crushe's existence wasn't eaten only her memories so Felix and everybody can still remember her, while Rem lost her whole existence so everybody have forgotten about her except for Subaru. That is why Subaru is the only one who is mentally tortured with what happen to Rem. If one's existence is eaten they go to coma and know one will remember her, while if the memory is eaten only, the person basically will have amnesia and is still will be physically well and everybody can still remember you.

SO this is my theory based on anime only and what I've watches so far! Ros might have found out about Sabaru when he spawned to the world and the witch scent made him believe "he was chosen by the witch" SO he sent Elsa to kill Emilia, and Ros hopes that Subaru can somehow prevent a professional killer from doing this. Subaru succeeded only because of return by death, causing Ros to trust Subaru and that's why a few episodes ago "I knew I could count on you".Ros wants to increase his confirmation by sending Elsa again to see how Subaru will achieve victory, while not letting anyone die! This would affirm Ros that Sabaru is the chosen one and his "partner in crime" in order to defeat the Dragon! Ros is probably not strong enough to defeat the Dragon and needs Subaru's help and his return by death so Ros can use it to reset the fight until they manage to defeat the Dragon! I MIGHT BE WRONG! But I really think this could be a potential haha

It'd be nice if after the end of the season (or its first cour) you could make a small video to discuss the differences between the WN and the anime, or the WN and the LN since that's what the anime adapts. I've read a small part of the WN myself and so far I really hate how certain scenes have been changed completely. One example of that is the teleportation crystal and how Frederica is protrayed, another is how the whole EP6 part was very different in the WN, with Subaru (re)discovering the secret passage in Roswaal's office and Petra recieving Elsa's knife on the back of her head as Subaru looked back to see if she was fine as they were escaping. There's also the whole talk about the hybrid war skipped, but I don't know if it's a LN change or just a skipped scene in the anime for time reasons.

Who is maylie? This can easily be answered if you think about it. There were mabeasts. In season 1 arc 2 a mabeast master escaped. And according to ram it was one of the kids Subaru and rem saved from the forest because she left the village soon after.
