Subaru In The Snow And Salt Lake Offroad Expo

We went up to the Salt Lake Offroad Expo to display the 2 tow trucks and sell some shirts. We did that and had a blast meeting everyone that showed up to say hi and support us. Thank you all so much for that. Then the next day after getting back I had to go pull a Subaru out of some snow. Also in this mix is the new pull rig we picked up to help haul rigs around. I laughed when you said people thought Shawn was just along for the ride when your towing a vehicle. I always thought he had the short end of the stick ,he's got no throttle, no steering and most of the time he can't see through the windshield. Shawn is definitely essential to a successful recovery with Mike right there beside him.

I’m a flatlander and don’t know nuth’n, but what I like about MMS recoveries is Rory always has a steady controlled pull. There is no getting into trouble where he can’t stop and fix the problem. Shawn and Mike round out crew with the same care. I hope good things come your way.

I can't believe Rory even accepted the invitation to the wrecker games. He is in a class way above his competition, the other guys are all exceptional but Rory is experienced at pulling vehicles off of VERY difficult trails. Believe me the camera does not show the severity of the trails.

I grew up doing construction, and it's amazing how many people that can't do it themselves, still want to tell you how to do it. One guy I worked for doing siding, had no problem packing up and leaving if the owner tried to tell him how to do his job.

We were installing a furnace, the homeowner was right there telling us how he would do it the whole time. finally my boss went to the truck came back with a roll of caution tape ,he tied one end around the handrail of the basement steps, walked around the homeowner and back to the other handrail. He started pulling the guy looked baffled he told him it's $25 an hr to watch$ 50 to watch and comment $100 if you want to help or free to leave us alone to our job.

Years ago when insurance didn’t ban customers from the shop floor a buddy of mine had a remedy for nosey customers. If they were looking over his shoulder or giving advice he would accidentally step back and drop a size 12 work boot on the offender’s foot.

If someone told me that they had called every other tow company and they ALL refused the job and now they were upset that I said I'll go get it, I say "OK THEN" and hang up. When they call back just tell them that it sounded like they didn't WANT it recovered! Almost makes you wonder if they were already spending the insurance money and then got told it was not a total loss after all... 170K subscribers and growing! Way to GO Rory! I just about choked on my coffee when you said people were chewing on Shawn. Shawn's job in the towed vehicle has got to be the worst part as he has little control except for brakes. Nerves of steel to be in the towed vehicle. Teamwork is what makes any recovery come out safe. Honest recoveries & shop antics is what keeps us coming back for more. You guys make it look easy on Lube Tube but it is anything but. Thanks for sharing
