Subaru Launch Control: Rally Rundown - 100 Acre Wood 2023

The ARA championship returns to gravel at the high-speed Rally in the 100 Acre Wood in Missouri. Subaru Motorsports USA's Brandon Semenuk and Keaton Williams are put to the test, trading stage wins against the WRC-derived Ford Fiesta of Barry McKenna throughout the weekend. Just seconds separate the teams going into the final Powerstage for the extra points and the overall win.

It is an air intake to provide cooling for the driver and co-driver. It can get hot in a rally car :)

How tough are the suspension components and all the things you would want in an off-road vehicle, and what about dust, and the accumulation of it in your electronics, dusty roads can deposit a lot of dust in places you can’t get to, to clean up, love my 2019 cross track but not sure it would last long in extreme off road conditions, but would love to be able to have one that would give some Jeep’s a run for their money, will Subaru ever consider an off road vehicle that would compete with he bronco or jeep? I would buy one .

Virtual chicanes use the score tracker in the car to institute a slow down. They have to reach 25mph within two points before they can keep going. You won’t likely see this kind of thing in the WRC but at the national level, it’s a good option to reduced high speed sections without having to increase the number of volunteer marshals

Travis made a statement earlier this year stating that he won't be participating in the 2023 ARA season in an effort to focus his time and energy on being a father, husband, and growing his Nitro Rallycross series. He was also focused on qualifying for and eventually racing in the Daytona 500 (which he finished 11th). Travis said, "A bad injury to kick off 2022 followed by the passing of two close friends has me taking a step back to reevaluate priorities," on social media. I miss seeing Travis out there just like anyone else does, but I'm glad to see that he is giving himself the much needed time for his family.

Yeah I feel you. With the Ken it was always a competition that you had you tense up to see who would win in the end. Now, it’s just easy wins with for Subaru but who knows McKenna seems like a competition. Still a great series nonetheless

Virtual Chicanes replaced physical chicanes with the adoption of RallySafe. Real chicanes require extra personnel to manage at a rally, and the virtual chicanes make life easier for the volunteers, marshals, and organizers.
