@@The.JZA. I believe the gears are longer in sport mode according to my manual mate, but full power isn't until you get passed 5.5k or so due to the AVCS kicking in so it's not a bad thing to hold on a bit longer. You should be able to get just passed 100Kph in 2nd if Subaru are to be believed. I'm not sure if that changes with traction control off.
@The.JZA.5 жыл бұрын
Rok Gok Hi, sport mode doesn’t make the gears longer, it just makes the car hold onto gears longer but if you’re putting your foot down then it doesn’t make a difference as it will hold the gear to the top anyway. Also the AVCS is continuously adjusted, it doesn’t just kick in at a specific RPM. The VVL does kick in but it’s at 2000-4000rpm depending on how much throttle you’re giving it.
@8G00SE85 жыл бұрын
@@The.JZA. Yea, longer gearing would be holding them longer in the rev range, not physically making the gear longer, unless it was a fake shift CVT! 4.2K is maximum torque around 6.6K is max BHP, so the sports mode holds on longer to make use of both, if you are shifting earlier you would not make use of all the horsepower, but you could keep it in the peak torque range. The gate to Sport mode on the R and R-spec B auto box should have manual shift also. Foot down in non sport mode would shift when economical, not speediest usually.
@The.JZA.5 жыл бұрын
Rok Gok Sorry mate you’re wrong. It doesn’t matter if you’re in ECO, Drive or Sport; if you floor it it’ll rev out to the ~6800rpm and there’s no difference in speed/acceleration. All sport mode does is make the gearbox hold gear longer under normal driving conditions (I.e. not full throttle) and shifts down more readily when you touch the throttle. The opposite is true for ECO mode. Also nobody describes holding a gear for longer as “longer gearing” it’s just holding the gear.

+Peter Ivanov The front bushings and CV boots need to be replaced about every 70,000km so look out for that. Other than that they're pretty damn reliable. They have a cam chain so no need to change the cam belt until 200,000km although I think you still need to change the alternator/water pump belt at 100,000km. Good luck! :)

How is your speedometer ends in 180 km/h ? There is usually 260! What market is it for?
@The.JZA.6 жыл бұрын
indysek1 Its a Japanese import. It's better that way I reckon because most of my driving is between 0-110km/h so it's easier to read and more accurate. It can do ~240km/h but I don't think I'll ever do that unless I'm on a race track with very good tyres haha
@KiwiFisher014 жыл бұрын
Mine has the same, only goes to 180 but the needle keeps climbing way past that and goes right down over the trip meter. But you dont drive that fast often enough to need the 260km one, even for occasional track days
@yasgamer3 жыл бұрын
I think it is because Japanese market cars are usually limited to 180 km/h
@Alexander_Zaytsev_6662 жыл бұрын
(Sorry, i don't speak English, i'm from Russia)

Reubens bike life Yes the TC is off. There’s a button below the steering wheel to the left or right depending on which side of the road you drive on.
Flat 6. Not the same. Both are 6 cylinders but a V6 has the cylinders in a V shape while the flat 6 has the cylinders lying down flat each side of the crank shaft. Flat 6 has some advantages, specifically when it comes to having a lower center of mass so it can improve handling whereas V6 are a bit more compact and are easier to fit into the engine bay.
