Why the hell these engines don't get more recognition when it comes to the best sounding 6 cylinder engines is beyond me. I've owned an Alfa Busso V6 but have to say I prefer the noise my Subaru makes. Not to mention the Subaru also makes more power than the 3.0 Busso engine.

What do I need to change to get the crackle on de-acceleration? I have raptor headers, x-force cat back and ultrex mufflers but it doesn’t crackle!

Do you have a resonator with the catback? Might be less noticeable. When you decelerate (lock in a low gear with the auto if you have it) and VERY very lightly push the throttle when decelerating around 4.500-6.000 rpm. There's a sweetspot to hold that'll make it crackle

Too late, traded in for a jdm gt. The trans would've gotten on the way and the runners would have had to run almost as far as where the b-pillar is on the body iirc. It would sound mean as hell though. If i had a lift it would probably have been reality real soon just for the giggles lol

@@dingdoungr5154 the ej makes more torque in idle than the ez does peak though lol. I do love the ez, the manual trans and aftermarket support are the key things to trading cars, along with the sweet EL header sound and almost instant boost from having a twin scroll setup. Maybe i should look for an old ez30 legacy that i can boost without having legal issues. (in finland boosting an euro 4 or higher emissions certf. car you'll need to get a broad emissions test that'll cost nearly 2k€, unless you have a boosted model or someone who has an identical documented setup to compare it to.) i wanted to run the headers for a while and then toss a good ol' HX35 next to it lol

Stock cats 2.5” center muffler delete with xForce 4” rear mufflers. Going to be doing rear muffler delete soon

Sounds a lot like mine ! I got a 3.5 inch y pipe , secondary cat delete , dual resonator delete 3.5 in piping to dual flowmaster 10s to some burnt exaust tips mine pops and crackles though probably do too the cat delete

Performance is more than adequate in them and comparable to similar cars of the same era, eg. BMW 330i. And I've owned both of them. It's not an M3 killer by any means but was never trying to be.
