Subaru Outback Wilderness AWD diagonal test note: Incredible traction but thanks to the famous Dual X-mode! Dual-function X-MODE can help get you out of sticky conditions like deep snow and mud, where a little wheelspin can be helpful. On the diagonal test hill, you could feel the 3 different modes! Results are similar but we prefer X-mode 2 due to the fact that it turns off the TCS! It's among the best AWD system and most reactive we had the chance to test on our diagonal test hill. If you want to go up the hill slowly, just use the first X-mode and leave TCS on. If you want more momentum, use x-mode in Deep Snow/Mud Mode! As you can see, that suspension is also smooth! This is too easy for this wagon! #subaruoutback #outbackwilderness

Subaru’s done such a great job with their standard AWD system. Combined with the adjustments to the final drive ratio (via re-tuned CVT for a shortened final drive ratio) and X-Mode on the Wilderness model make it one of the best systems on the market (if not THE best for the moment).

@nswain4202 жыл бұрын
Subaru has not made changes to the AWD system for this specific trim - it's the same standard system found on their other models. What sets the Wilderness apart is the final drive ratio, a modification to XMode, added ground clearance and beefier tires. In the absence of low range transfer case Subaru opted to re-tune the CVT to get more power to the wheels at lower RPMs. This results in a shortened final drive ratio from 4.11:1 to 4.44:1. The X-Mode is also modified for the Wilderness - in all other models, X mode disables when wheel spin/speed exceeds 25MPH. This restriction has been removed for the Wilderness which allows for more wheel slip in adverse conditions (like deep mud/snow). Add in the extra ground clearance and the thicker all-terrains and we've got a more capable Outback for off-roading.

CarPlay still not wireless! so why they offer wireless charger? And stay away of the Wilderness trim . The skid plate from Subaru is like aluminum foil. But if you put the after market you void your warranty. They try to make lighter by sacrificing the bodywork, it is so thin that you don’t want layback in any door or you may will dent it. Look under the driver seat and you see how they do this car, you can see layers of insulation exposed. And many others things that for 42k that I paid should it made so much better; my drone or my phone have more advanced technology than this car. @CarQuestion2 жыл бұрын
X-Mode is an enhanced AWD algoriyhm system, automatically adjusting several vehicle components to maximize traction. Subaru offers two versions of X-Mode, the single-mode X-Mode system, with a Snow/Dirt setting. For the single-mode version of X-Mode, activation will cut back immediate throttle response to prevent excessive wheel spin and allow for better grip but more restriction from the TCS. Dual-mode X-mode, include Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings, it will turn off the TCS for more momentum! This setting is for use in situations where extra wheel spin is actually preferred.
