Subaru self cancelling turn signals

how to make sure your turn signals self cancel in a Subaru steering wheel swap using adapters for nrg, momo, omp or other aftermarket steering wheel adapters.

I’m going thru this with my exo cart right now. I don’t see how I can still use the auto cancel clock spring and pass the horn wiring thru using the brass connection on the back of the NRG hub. I can use a Honda horn shoe to rub the brass connection easily, but that removes the clock spring completely. How are you attaching the customized clock spring to the back of the hub and also running a horn signal thru it? Thanks

The clockspring isn't really customized. I use it in stock form. I just pass low current 12v through it to my relay box to run horn. The only difference is I flipped the wiring to the stacks to switch 12v+ instead of ground. My analog fuse box won't relay grounds

@@exotruck5731 are you still using the horn button on the wheel? Do you have a brass ring on the back of your hub as well?

@@00imprezaRS no. I use the two wires on the nrg horn button as a positive switch to trigger the horn relay

Ok I finally got into it today. I see what you’re saying you use some of the factory wires thru the clock spring to do what you want, at this point without airbags or cruise it could be any of the wires you care to use. I removed the brass horn ring from my hub since the clock spring can pass current instead but even with it gone I don’t have enough room behind my NRG hub to fit that big square wire block. Have you had any luck cutting it down at all or cutting it off and still being able to make use of the wiring passing thru the clock spring or did you find you had enough room in the NRG hub you had to make it fit in stock form?
