I'm glad to see you still have this car! I'm never getting rid of my 09 legacy, even if it is just the base model

Just found out my legacy has metal in the trans so I'm saving for a built block and trans gonna do headers etc. And shoot for 400 on the rebuild and just drive it the way it is and work on the body etc. But anyways I love this series always gives great information and ideas

Sounds like a good project, just like mine haha! You will really like the stage 4 video when it gets released if that is your goal. Thanks for watching!

@SWSpeedCo I can't let her die yet and ofcourse man your welcome always nice to be able to see things done and have them explained cant imagine the money I'll save doing as much as I can myself
@SWSpeedCo4 ай бұрын
@brandonolson1959 yeah, alot of the cost associated working on cars is labor sometimes more than the parts. So you will save alot doing it yourself

Huge respect! Can you briefly cover how to build MerpMode patch?
@SWSpeedCo4 ай бұрын
I will try to work on that. Thanks for the suggestion

Hell ya i have an 05 lgt and im buying a tactrix cable im dyno tuned now on a v2 ap and im getting an even bigger turbo and injectors and going open source. Idk how to tune though so I really want to learn
@SWSpeedCo4 ай бұрын
That's good, I will be uploading some detailed tuning videos in the near future that I will try to cover all the bases. I also learned from hpa academy courses which were very helpful in building my knowledge and confidence

Hey I had a question about your setup? in ecuFlash is your open loop fuel table setup default AFR or did you change the table to Lambda? or did you only change what RomRaider is reading out?
@SWSpeedCo2 ай бұрын
I only changed it to lambda for the romraider logger read out. The ecuflash map still uses AFR. With the fuel tables you just dictate your afr targets but the actual tuning to meet those targets is done through the maf scaling table and injector scaling. Both of those tables are adjusted using a percentage correction based on how far you are from the target so I find lambda easier to use since the read out tells me the percentage it is off and I don't have to do any math in my head while I'm tuning.

Hey just to let you know anything above 85% for a boost solenoid well be completely open. The solenoid stops working at like 12% and 85%. so 12% is closed and 85 is open. Look good tho! I was wondering why you tune with throttle position instead of requested torque for the gate duty cycle? Also Isn't your car running really rich at .7 lamda? unless your running E, I didn't quite hear you if you were in the video. I am using AFR since Im not running E85 at the moment lol.
@SWSpeedCo4 ай бұрын
I haven't heard of the boost solenoid thing before but I will look into it. The car should be targeting 0.75 lambda (11:1 afr) so I probably mis spoke in the video if I said 0.70 lambda. 0.75 is pretty standard for these cars with a tmic for a safe tune. Sometimes people will run leaner for front mount intercooler because of the colder intake air you don't have to worry as much about pre detination. E85 has an even better charge cooling affect than a fmic so you can run 0.80 lambda and higher timing at WOT with no detination.

@@SWSpeedCo Hmmm weird when I converted my .835 to afr in EcuLink it said it was 5 AFR but that must be just some weird conversion thing, I never ended up running it because of that lol. You should get a hybrid harness for IAT sensor and the maf. I am currently making a harness and gonna weld a bung to my upgraded top mount so I can get accurate temps lol. I'll keep that in mind when I see how leaning out the car goes, if it knocks ill lower it back to 10.8
@SWSpeedCo4 ай бұрын
@RpmRunners yeah, I don't think ecu link is calculating that right. To calculate lambda from afr all you need to do is take your afr and divide it by stoich (14.7). So 11:1 would be 11/14.7 which gives you 0.748 lambda. You can go the other way by taking lambda 0.75 and multiplying it by stoich and that gives you afr.

Grill is just a no name mesh grill I bought off ebay when I first got the car in 2019
