Thank you Rick. It was a fun drive, but nowhere near the adventure you had in Hawaii. Great underwater video shots by the way.

Wait...so you just drove for 30 hours straight without stopping to sleep?? Oh man...I don't even like to drive 5 hours unless I'm going to have at least two nights wherever I'm at, LOL. When you mentioned Rome the other day I was assuming you would be checking out the columns of Rome, but I suppose not everyone bases their travel around geological formations. 8^D In any case, wow, looked like quite a trip! The quality of your camera is really nice...does it have some kind of in-camera stabilization? I can't handhold my XPro-2 like that without getting annoyingly jittery footage and I have to stabilize handheld shots in post (which doesn't always work out right). I got this camera when I was doing solely still photography and had never given the slightest thought to producing video. At some point soon I'm going to need to move to a different platform that is better suited to filming.

Thank you softroadingthewest. I had to stop 3x in the last 6 hours for short naps. Yes... I did pass through a lot of little towns. It was a lot of fun, but more a RECON mission for future trips. Thank you for your inquiry, and kind comments. Yes, the Lumix G9 and GX85 use IBIS. I sometimes use the camera's digital stabilizaiton along with IBIS on the G9. That and stabilized zoom lenses add even more stabilization. Nevertheless, you've got great video skills with a cinematic style. Hope this helps.

How many miles do you have on this car? Also, any issues pop up on your crosstrek? Is your transmission doing fine?

I have almost 40K, no issues, no mechanical problems.
