The subbuteo game was much more exciting than the TV highlights. It's all getting very tense in these groups with all to play for.....my dark horse in the competition is East Germany ⚽⚽

@@TheDanami thanks 👍 to be fair and unusually there wasn’t much highlights wise I could find. All the groups are proving to be tight, and the great thing is I just haven’t a clue how it’s going to play out! East Germany have had good wins and looking strong!

That uruguay goal? If the player is lying down in Subbuteo, when the ball hits him - its handball. I was surprised the Bulgarians didnt surround the referee when that went in. I hope you have been practicing in the playground with your Wembley Trophy ball to get the moment of magic just right in the next game!!

@robinma2000 great point Mark, the way the referee read it was the striker was still in motion so not laying down in that instance 😉 Ah yes the old Wembley trophy, played many times with that in my street with the other kids, and yes jumpers for goalposts 😊
