A quick video to show how I prepare a new team ready for competitive Solo game play! Basic stuff but might be useful!

Love it 👍👍 real old school . Love the Letroset numbering . I remember the old Subbuteo transfers you use to peel off in water . Great to see normal furniture polish being used . Works just as well 👌

Hi Dean another good video thank you , I like the numbers might give them a try I’ve never got to grips with the Subbuteo type numbers they never seem to stick very well, I tried some of the bespoke polish it was okay but in my opinion not much better than pledge or mr sheen maybe the pros would know a difference but for me playing solo pledge is good enough all the best Roger

Thanks Roger, I always found the Subbuteo numbers too small as well, if they had been made a bit bigger they would have been much better. The polish thing is really out of curiosity, I should just buy some and give it a try. Maybe a follow up comparison video 🤔

Good video Dean . Can’t comment on polishing, never done it . Good idea on the numbers though! I use the Subbuteo world coloured numbers and put them on the disc between the players toes , helps with identification when playing, can’t always see the backs , l am an old duffer though 😂🤣

I struggle with the smaller numbers and this method gives me a better chance to see them when playing, without needing a magnifying glass!

A very good polish is supposed to be the stuff you can spray on clothes to make the ironing much easier. Can be difficult to find though.

That’s an interesting one, haven’t heard about that. The furniture polish is ok but I should really try the proper polish to see if I can see a difference. That’s an idea for a future video maybe, trying the real stuff 👍

Love the channel all the content is great as well .What size white dots do you use for team numbers is it 0.5.keep up good work gets a thumbs up every time.. 👍

Great vlog love watching them allways something interesting ,what white discs do you use for the numbers as I would like to try this on my teams .

Thanks Paul 👍, they’re off eBay, search 5mm sticky dots! That should bring up a variety of colours as well!

I had a friend whose dad owned a caravan, and in the windscreen of his car he had to display the "kerb weight" of the caravan. He used to have numbered stickers for that and I used to do them, but stick them to the base. I like your method, Dean, it's easy and the numbers are really visible too. Can you show a comparison of pre- and post-polishing for slide-ability?

Darren, It works really quite well and I like the way the stickers don’t damage the paintwork on the player. And like you say the numbers are very visible. Not sure what I’ll do if I run out of numbers, I’m not sure how available the letraset stuff still is!

@@soitra It’s funny when I’d uploaded the video I thought it would have good to do a comparison but didn’t dawn on me at the time. Maybe something for the next team I buy!
