Its possible the girl is used to her family and community saying negative comments about black people and saying positive comments about white people even when its false and its now second nature for her to twist stories in order to paint a good picture about white people. She might have been in a similar position or seen similar situations as the the scenarios she was given and white people were always put across as the good guys and black people as bad.

@Qais Hijazi seriously? They have no credibility, and they don't mind going deeper into negative credibility with virtually all of their videos. It's not one video, they do not provide legitimate news ever. Mainstream news is nothing but theater staged to push social agendas. Yes they sometimes chery pick certain events that might have actually occurred, provided they can shape their theatrical narratives around the event, but you can not even trust that, because they absolutely will fabricate events from whole cloth if it suits them, because the worst case for them is that they'll have to produce a retraction, which won't get shared as widely and few will ever even notice.

I honestly think that broadening the schools and people they interview for this kind of study is important. I've gone to a very racially diverse school since I was young. I am Hispanic and some of the classmates I talk to regularly are of all different races and come from all over. To give and example in one class there's Vietnamese, Serbian, Indian, Jordanian, Mexican, Jewish, White and Black students all coexisting and completely in are sense color blind. This racism does exist but I think there needs to be a study in a school that is a good example of color-blindness and racial acceptance. Also racism is not white and black there's so much more to it that is never discussed.

Everything about this, along with every narrative shaped by mainstream media, is so shockingly dubious, that the only subconscious bias being revealed is the psychologicaly conditioned acceptance of pure nonsense by the indoctrinated mind control victims who believe this irrational theater of the absurd is in any way legitimate. Seriously, if you believe anything as presented by mainstream media, then you have a subconscious bias against critical thought.

Regardless of THIS video being fake or staged it is still a teachable opportunity for our children. Most forms of racism are learned and instilled at a subconscious level. When my daughter started school she became instant friends with a very sweet girl from India. One day she came home devastated and crying because she had been told by other children in the class to not play with that little girl anymore because she was dirty. At first I thought they meant dirty as in unclean but then my daughter said they meant dirty as in her skin color was dark. This broke my heart and I took it as a teaching opportunity to explain to my daughter that there's beauty in every color.
@medicusofthedamned
@medicusofthedamned 2 жыл бұрын
That’s not subconscious. They are consciously making an effort to be racist. They might not know that it’s racist but if children are stupid enough not to know the difference between being dirty and having dark skin then the education system needs to be improved.

It's propaganda. Social science is pseudoscience. It's leading nonsense and there are also a thousand other reasons for the disparity which aren't muh racism. For example, the kids could be imagining themselves in the picture if the individual looks like them and projecting their own narcissistic belief that they're good onto the image. You'd probably find the same disparity if you changed their hair colours. And you'd definitely find the same disparity if you changed their sexes-- males are deemed much more "bad" in most scenarios. But that doesn't fit the agenda.

Here's an example that illustrates why psychology should not be considered a science: At 1:45 for picture #1 the question was asked "what do you think HAPPENED..." Then at 1:52 for picture #2 the question was asked "what do you think is GONNA HAPPEN NEXT". Upshot: If test givers use leading questions like these the test results will be skewed.

When the topic of racism comes under discussion, it is really important to highlight the difference between explicit racism, and implicit racism. Most American whites are not explicitly racist, however most ARE implicitly racist. Having implicit biases does not necessarily make one a bad person, they are simply a product of wider societal biases. Much progress has been made in stomping out the explicit manifestations of racism, however the implicit manifestations are far more complex and will take several generations to overcome. When viewed from a purely historical perspective, it was only just yesterday that segregation came to an end; you cannot undo three hundred plus years of discrimination within a few decades.

So... 25% saw their own race more positive than the other race. How about the other 75%? There are only 3 choices after all (same, positive or negative). And how did they make sure that the result is not just a coincidence? How many tests were there and were the answers consistently in favor of one race? And look at this boy at 2:02 he almost sound like he's just guessing and not really having an opinion about it. So after his first answer is "not ok" and he basically gets the same question again, just with a different picture, he might simply think that another answer is "the right one" now. What I mean is: When asking more than one question, the asked questions can influence the answers to other questions. Did they really make sure that this didn't happen? I'm not saying that their results are not "correct"... but there are many factors that can massively influence (and distort) the outcome.

This is what people think about themselves vs. other people. This test and exam needs to be standardized in every level of education from k - 12 and beyond. Only then when you identify the problem can you begin to deal with the issue of bias.

There's so many things that are wrong with this test! 1) of course the younger kids are going to chose the picture that looks like them. 2) dark colors are usually Serbs as bad for example most younger kids are afraid to sleep in the dark 3) they should focus on the physical features more, most pple are attracted to a variety of things like full lips, big eyes, long nose, button nose, long hair/short hair, cheek bones etc 4) the first girl was just plain stupid, I know most younger kids answered based on what their parents say but at such an old age you should be able to think for yourself plus her parents seemed completely fake

Wow good job to CNN for the positive work done on this. It is an eye opener never to judge others by the skin color but by the character. I believe that if this approach was being done by many countries the world will be a better place and so much good can be done when one learn to eliminate segregation in races and focus on eliminating descriminating behaviors. Racism is a learnt behaviors it was never in ate. The underlined truth we are all connected by blood whether we accept it or deny.

This is interesting but stupid. Even when I was their age, I could see the photos are inconclusive. It is pretty obvious. Either scenario could go either way. Either the other person helps or they are causing distress. Though regardless of race, because of my experience, I would say most people lean toward helping themselves and/or being jerks.

Not in all cases kids almost never listen to their parents so it’s unrealistic to think that in all cases it’s learned behavior there are survivors of bad parenting that learn to make better choices or bad choices not all racists come from racist families that is simply just not true peers and social media have more influence than parents these days

I don't know why this test is so confusing to everybody let your emotion go forget about your emotions and analyze everything they do here. Analyze the children and try to analyze everything they say. Put yourself in their shoes, and get personal memories from your experience of living your life and what has happened with the different types of people you see around you how do they get treated. The answer is really simple, why the children say and do what they do, (It's a reflection of self ever since you were born and your parents looked at you they always told you you were the best you're the most prettiest you're perfect and you are special, but the people you believe in the people you trust and you know they would never do harm to you never say the same thing to another race and actually they say bad things about other races from a very young age? of course you're going to interpret other people other races to be bad, to steal, to be mean, to bully people. why it's simple because your parents never told you that other races, people are just like you, so if you don't know other races or people are just like you you're going to think they're different what does different usually mean well it can be interpreted in many ways specifically in bad ways if they aren't like you why? Because reflection of self. you were raised to be nice to the people around you, So what happened through the years that made you change ideas of people, it's simple your surroundings, meaning your family your mom and dad can change their ideas and beliefs as you get older and you get accustom to what they think and believe why because they're your parents and you look up to them for guidance, your friends, the entertainment you watch big effect on children kids don't go out to play as much anymore because of all the entertainment and and games that you have in your home in your house, TV, the ,Internet is another bad place if parents don't watch what their children are watching very big key why kids act the way they act, movies, even books, man even if you're able to read from a very young age 4 to 6 years and I don't know here's an EXAMPLE: You see a flyer or newspaper of a white man and a black man fighting from that very young age you can interpret that those two races don't like each other, subconsciously you're going to carry that with you the rest of your life without you really knowing why you think the way you think, when in all reality that newspaper or flyer you saw when you were four or six years old, and maybe you at that age maybe you couldn't read but you could see you had eyes to see images/picture of both men both different, You know what they say a picture can say a thousand words, When in all reality that newspaper or flyer you saw was a boxing match or a MMA fight for money not because they hated each other. They might even have been best friends those two men, they were just fighting to see who was the better fighter and of course for money. I hope you understand the point I tried to make there what I'm saying is children are very easy to influence, that's why from a very young age you have to be careful what you show them, what they can listen to and what you teach them, or else they're going to think different is bad, why because it's not like them, they can't see their own reflection they can't see themselves in the other person they don't look like them so that means they're not the same. And also they make so many of these episodes on television news because everything's a business and where a business is established it's going to try to make as much money as possible, sadly to say some companies don't care how they make their money as long as they make it, so that they can keep on making more episodes and more money,they are going to give you ideas why they think children discriminate each other and say the other is better than the other from a young age, hope it made sense I know it was a little bit long I didn't put all my thoughts and here either going to be way too long if i did.So I just made as short as possible.

+Stella Barrett It's just subconscious reaction which gave different color people different intention in this case. Imagine if she grew up without noticing her strong bias, she might justify for whatever wrong thought she has as reality. But if she can pay attention to her brain, and see her conclusion doesn't support fact, then this bias will disappeared in no time.
