I am not a Bengali and I Saw this movie in Kolkata. I genuinely had tears in my eyes. Because I was always 100% certain about the fact that our country would've been among the most developed, progressive, cleanest, most advanced nations for sure had this man led from the front and been the first official PM of India. I doubt he would've even allowed the horrors of partition. Indians and our culture would've evolved faster than ever and adapted so well with modern values. He was so young and would've guided us atleast till the 70s. He would've been India's answer to Singapore's great PM Lee Kuan Yew before Lee himself came to power. It is really sad twist of fate. But I do believe from the same soil will rise many such Netajis and make his vision come true soon. Maybe it's you. Jai Hind.

I would say that India's Bismarck would be Sardar Patel. If Netaji involved himself in Indian politics instead of going into hiding, there is a good chance that there wouldn't have been any partition and would've taken that title instead. Netaji unfortunately is the biggest "What if?" of independent India.

I was telling a friend that this song was in the closing scene of the movie Gumnaami. When this song was played, by the time people were crying. I was in the second last row. গত তিন দিন পাগলের মতো গুমনামের গান গুলো শুনছি। আর কাঁদছি। ১৯৩৬ সালে অবিভক্ত ভারতে আমার বাবার জন্ম আমার খুব ছোট বেলায় মারা যান - তার গল্প শুনেছি - বাবা বলতেন নেতাজি বেঁচে থাকলে হয়তো তার নেতৃত্ব বাঁচাতে পারত দেশটা টুকরো হওয়া থেকে । জানি না অন্যরা তা হতে দিতো কিনা। But regardless of what the eventual outcome could/ would have been, One thing is for sure ; till the end of time every son and daughter of India is indebted to him forever. And as they said in the movie every child has a Bose name as Netaji belongs to all. Every patriot in heart is a solider of the Azad Hind Fauj Jai Hind.

There may be many lapses in this film that may inspire critics to condemn this noble attempt to make such a film that may heavily shake the factors those deliberately pushed the truth behind the light,but I was personally overwhelmed to see that entire spectators of the film stood up in the Cinema hall with immense and spontaneous respect to Great patriot and Greatest Freedom fighter and one and only Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose when the Azad Hind Fauz Anthem was being sung on the screen with visuals.Even the unpredictable youth spectators stood up in great respect.So amazing! There was no request,nor any notification on screen.This is the only truth!Critics must take caution! Jayatu Netaji!Jai Hind! Thanks to Srijit Mukherji for making such a film for true Indians!
