Hold on, you need the subjunctive with interrogatives? Could someone please confirm that this is wrong: Hai travato una persona che ti puo' aiutare? Also, if you speak Spanish could you confirm it's Has encontrado una persona que te pueda ayudar? In both languages I would have have used the indicative purely because it's a question and so the uncertainty is handled by the case rather than the mood. Corrections would be welcome. Thanks!

I believe it is subjunctive not because it's interrogative but because the person in question might not exist.

@@jimjeff9852 Thanks! You're undoubtedly right but I think there's a little more to it. For example you would say "C'e qualcuno nella stazione quand'e' chiusa?" This is strongly hinting that there might not be anyone but "ci sia qualcuno" would be wrong. It's only when it's a subordinate clause we need the subjunctive but the look of things. This might be a difference between Spanish and Italian but I'm not sure. I'm going to ask a native speaker of the former to be sure. Could just be my error.

Italian is helpful when talking to Italians. 👍 Quando parlo Italiano posso communicare in una maniera diversa di come lo faccio in Inglese o altre lingue. Si pensa la gente in una maniera che e' distintamente unica. Si muove le mani, si cerca espessioni diverse, si conta storie distinte in tono diverso, forma diferente con regle sociale diverse; e' altra forma di pensare. Ci sono le cazzate di Elio e Le Storie Tese, Mai Dire Gol, Fantozzi - che aveva un programa formidable! - le canzoni di De Gregori, le due di piche dalle fighe, il cibo. Magari devi essere staniero per capire la belleza che c'e.

Escludendo il fatto che parlare la lingua inglese è necessario in questo periodo storico (ma anche lo Spagnolo e il Cinese hanno un loro perché), così come lo è stato per secoli il Latino, perché la lingua italiana sarebbe "stupida"? sei in grado di argomentare? Nelle maggiori università occidentale esistono dipartimenti di Italianistica, Francesistica,, Filologia Romanza, Ugro-finnica, Semitica, Slava, etc. Perché secondo te? Sei in grado di argomentarlo
