Alright, we've got two subjunctive tenses down, those being the present and past subjunctive. Before we learn the other two, let's take a look at how the subjunctive will work with conjunctions.

Congrats, your knowledge of italian language is impressive, almost scary, and surely above average italians themselves. One note, just to make it flawless, there's a difference between è and é. è (is) has an open sound, like the "a" in "mad" é (perché, affinché, purché) are written in this way to indicate the closed "e", which you pronounced correctly anyway. Not a big deal, even journalists make this mistake ;)

On his defense... the difference between those two sounds is very tricky for an English speaker ...

I'm a recent new subscriber to your channel, I suscrbed because I find your content fascinating. Unfortunately I find that I'm not quite as intelligent as I thought, I have to watch the vids several times before I can understand. Not that I'm complaining, your helping me to expand my own knowledge, for that thank you. The more I learn I'm hoping that it will get easier to understand

Subjunctivum cum conjunctionibus. In 2500 years, nothing has changed. The declensions are gone, but the subjunctive struggles continue.

For “Per quanto ci provi, no ci riesce.” Why is riesce used rather than the subjunctive “riesca” in the second clause?

The sentence with the subjunctive is the first one, "provi". The second sentence is the main one.

Absolutely zero, you're right. But then all of us chappies have once asked ourselves what toothless footballers would be like. And what are the chances of that? FECU!
