Subjunctive vs. Infinitive in Italian: Congiuntivo o Infinito?

So we know a bit about the subjunctive mood now, but sometimes we will be faced with having to choose between using the subjunctive or an infinitive. What are the rules for this? Let's take a look!

Grazie mille! Nei casi con la frase principale con il verbo non richiedente il congiuntivo le regole sono le stesse? Es.: La mamma non si è accorta che il bambino ha perso il suo giocatolo / La mamma non si è accorta di aver lasciato il giocatolo del suo bambino a casa. Grazie!
