I am back with the Sublimation/DTF Hack and this time I am going to start right away with showing you my printer settings. The way that I set my sublimation printer, I don't get any roller marks and the images are crisp and vibrant!
I am super excited to share my full process with you and I hope you find it helpful. I am using the same film and powder that I used when I did the XL Sublimation/DTF Hack about 2 weeks ago. I love the Welacer Film and the Welacer Powder and if I ever convert a DTF Printer, I will definitely use the Welacer brand of DTF ink!

Finally, I have been able to print!! I have tried this hack so many times and my paper didn't get picked up this time it did. I did use a regular piece of paper behind and some heat tape to hold it on the blank page and I have tried that before, but it never worked this time changing the settings made the difference. Thank you so much!! Keep crafting and teaching us.

This tutorial was so extremely helpful to me. I must have watched it at least 5 times. I have an Epson 1500 and use it for a sublimation printer. I had a terrible time getting it to acknowledge the DTF film for the sublimation hack. I found that mine will only accept clear tape around all 4 sides and to turn down the print density to eliminate the roller streaks. as you suggested. You're awesome! ❤️

You should be able to do this with the 2800 and the Cricut Easy Press will work just fine.

Delonda, I love watching your precise, easy-to-follow instructions and I just have one question, but a backstory first. On someone else's sublimation DTF hack video, so many people were saying they got roller marks. I noticed your change in settings and took note. The guy I was watching was saying you had to open up your printer and remove a set of the rollers to get it to work properly. I am not willing to perform surgery on my printer. I had the roller marks on my first try and I did more research and got so frustrated that I gave up. My question is this, I am wanting to use my 8550 for larger prints which is the precise reason I bought it. I need some larger prints for the bigger shirts, so what should I change my density to in order to prevent the roller marks on the 8550? Do you have any idea? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you. I honestly don’t know because I don’t have an 8550; however I think reducing the density should help. I also suggest trying the yamation film because it’s thicker.

Hey Delonda! Late to this video but I'm glad I found it. First let me say that I think I like them both the same and they look great. My question is more that the ink looks like a glitter or sparkle color. Was this simply the design itself or did you do something to get it to look that way? Or do I need to put on my glasses? LOL. Thank you. I feel like this one looked more "powdered" than others I have tried. I'm not sure if it was the brand of powder or the color of the shirts. I usually stick with the darkest gray for the best effect.

Have you done a dtf hack comparison using ink jet vs sublimation ink. Which, in your opinion holds up best.

I haven't tried the hack with inkjet ink because it's my understanding that it will wash away.
