Sublimation paper should be on top of the ribbon. That is why your having to use such heavy pressure.

Can I ask you how much do these go for? I had a gal just ask me the other day if I could make her some, but I wasn't sure about the pricing. Thank you

They are super easy to do, but not a high ticket item. A good place to look is etsy to determine the going price. www.etsy.com/search?q=fabric+clothing+tags

How did you prevent the ribbon from fraying?
@stacyodesigns2 ай бұрын
Since the ribbon is polyester, the heat from the press was enough to seal the cut edges. But you can also hit it with a flame really quick.

So I saw your edit. I’m new to sublimation, but I’m a seamstress, so I would love to make my own clothing tags. Do you put the copy paper at the bottom, then the ribbon, then the sublimation paper, and then the butcher paper? I wasn’t sure which paper you meant had to be on top

This is the order from top to bottom: blowout paper ( this can be copy paper, butcher paper or craft paper. Just as long as it's not waxed) sublimation paper ribbon blowout paper

I would have never thought to do this!

Did you flip the design in order for it to print the correct way?

I printed it mirrored. It is a setting within your printer dialogue.

What heat press do you recommend? Ive been using the cricut on, but since you have to hold it, the transfers get smudged... :(

I use a 15x15 inch swing away heat press from US Cutters. I don't really know too much about other presses. What I do know, if you want to get one off amazon - check ALL of the reviews. I have read a lot of presses from China tend to burn out quickly.

Image can also be darker if you place sub paper on top instead of bottom. But wonderful idea and great job

Holy Guacamole! I didn't even realize I pressed it that way! I always press with paper on top! I'm so embarrassed :) Thanks for pointing it out -I will add a note in the description.
