Thanks for the video, Angie. I actually bought an Epson ET-2400 a few days ago, because I'd been holding off on purchasing a printer for sublimation for about 18 months. After watching your video, I am confident not jumping up and buying the printer for sublimation right away was my best call. I worked with the Infusible Ink sheets and pens during those 18 months and little-by-little decided that it was time to go the printer route. I liked how you mentioned to keep working with the other methods even if you get a printer for sublimation. You also hit the nail on the head about buying sublimation sheets. I went with the Epson ET-2400 because I realized while looking on Etsy that if I wanted sheets bigger than Letter or Legal, I could just spend a few dollars and let someone else make the larger sheets for me. So now I'm going to go ahead and take the printer out of the box and set it up. 🙂

Just fyi. I know this is about sublimation without a printer. I am crazy about sublimation. These version she is printing is just another fun way to play with sublimation! I have seen, that Costco has an Epson Eco tank coming up within the week that I have converted to sublimation. It is 199.00. Angie has videos about converting printers too.

You can also purchase prints from someone else, who can print for you - good for someone who wants to test out before investing in a printer, ink, paper etc. I offer this within Australia only, but I'm sure wherever you are, you'll find someone local, or someone on Etsy who offer this.

My preference is not to use sublimation on dark colors. The methods all do not last as long and are a bit disappointing.

Hi Angie, I have been trying sublimation and direct to film Transfers on soft and hard blanks without a printer. The company I have used to purchase sublimation transfer sheets from is called my transfer source, I upload my artwork to them they print it out on a sublimation transfer sheet and mail it back to me and I apply it using my heat press. For soft blanks I prefer direct to film transfer sheets I upload my artwork to a company called transfers express and they send me back my artwork printed on a film transfer sheet and I apply it with a heat press. It has been my experience with both of these companies the quality is very good and the price for the artwork is reasonable. But I’m having a huge problem with the cost of shipping it is so high it’s making it difficult for me to sell these items and make a profit. Have you had any experience with working with companies that supply your artwork on a transfer sheet? If so have you found any that have reasonable shipping? I live in Murfreesboro Tennessee. I would really love to see you do a video on this topic.

I would suggest perhaps looking for someone local that has printing capabilities. It might be worth it!

I did find a local company it's called Big Frog custom t-shirts and more they do do sublimation and direct to garment printing but they won't sell any transfer sheets you have to either bring your own blank or purchase one of theirs. So for them to do a t-shirt with direct to garment printing and an 11 inch by 11 inch graphic the T-shirt and the printing would cost $25. Doesn't leave much room for profit. @@AngieHolden

Sort of off topic but need help. Converted Epson 2760 to sublimation 2 yes ago no problem until now. Inks are full, nozzle check working fine but pale tried printing from DS image areas that should have been white (otherwise no colour) are coming out bright yellow. Ran image for colour checking (4 rectangle columns) came out as Grey, yellow, red bars on white background and medium blue. Tried everything other than deleting printer and nothing working. Any suggestions and has anyone else had this happen?
