Hi Luke, how are you? The reason I am commenting on this video right now is because my Pro shop had a demo day today and I did my very first one ever and I tried six bowling balls six different games for a discount. The first one I tried was the ion Max that was very good. It was deadly earlier, but I’ve definitely did not burn up like a gem would. I try the optimum idle pearl the second game. It was way too clean the third game the sublime focus to me. It was like it’s a metrical version. Just a touch cleaner than the ion, Max the fourth game, the summit ascent, they did not have any 15 pounders so I use a 14 pound that they had surprisingly it was underrated cleaner it felt in between the focus and the idol pearl, but in a good way. The fifth game I tried the ion Pro wow that was the best surprise of the day got my best score with it. That was my first ever hybrid I ever threw in my life it did not disappoint. In the very last game, I threw the lightning blackout that was OK, but it was a little bit better than the idol pearl. I just wanna give you a little bit of an update. Hope you’re doing well. Can I wait for the next storm ball video

My guess is the Summit Ascent. Thanks for the informative video. I’m loving the comments from Tobias!

Sublime was first new ball I had purchased in a while. Now it just sits on the wall... hopefully this one lasts longer

Sticking with my same guess: IQ Tour #14

Ball fits a weird niche in the spi lineup imo. Side note. This video is a good example of core shapes actually mattering. Not just raw numbers. Similar cover and specs. So very different in shape.

Summit ascent is my guess too

You're not much for Assyms so I'd say Summit Ascent or a optimum idol pearl?

As always opinions sans Kool-Aid are clearer the glacier water. Informative as always will be an interesting report card if there is one.

The intent is there but yeah I'm horribly behind on report cards right now . .

I wonder what all plays a factor in how fast a ball lane shines. Most of the balls I throw are all sanded solids lane and shine at vastly different rates.
@LukeRosdahlАй бұрын
I'm really not sure, but it seems to be type of cover predominantly. Urethane balls for example shine very slowly, like the black and purple hammers take ages to shine up, but reactives shine up faster. The cleaner and weaker reactives seem like they shine up faster though, something like a Tour Dynam-X is a marble inside of 2 games while an Envy Tour takes several games.

Optimum Idol Pearl because you know what that means

What do you mean by 2 handers will love this ball? What aspects of a ball makes it much better for 2 hands instead of 1?
@LukeRosdahlАй бұрын
It's early and strong but controllable, usually stuff is too strong and dynamic for 2 handers, so they look for more controllable stuff.

Always thought the core looked similar to the Vibe. 🤷🏽♂️

Comparison between focus vs p2?
@LukeRosdahlАй бұрын
Focus is earlier and slower, reaction shapes are somewhat similar though, both are fairly arcy.

How close is the focus to the zen soul
@LukeRosdahlАй бұрын
Definitely stronger, but can't tell you yet how the shapes compare. Filmed for Zach a couple nights ago and his isn't remotely close to Tobias.

Lol I'm always super happy when people get the easter eggs! It took a while for him to get lined up, but when he did he was ok and it looked pretty good loool.

Is it a Zen Master 2.0?
@LukeRosdahlАй бұрын
Yeah pretty much, reminds me a ton of the Optimus Solid if you go back that far too.
@jeffladrillono2313Ай бұрын
That's exactly what I thought when I saw the footage. Probably going to be a dud for most people on house shots like the Zen Master and TNT.
